While we’re all incredibly glad the primary season is officially over, and Hillary Clinton won a huge victory in DC on Tuesday, the biggest political news of the day was the double team ass whupping that President Obama and Sec. Clinton gave Donald Trump and Republicans on their phony argument over the phrase “Radical Islam.” Even Sen. Sanders, in a speech effectively acknowledging Clinton’s win, joined in to hit Trump on his idiocy and hypocrisy. He and Clinton went to to have a positive and substantive debate Tuesday evening on the next steps for the Democratic Party.

For his part, Donald Trump – on the holiday he shares with the U.S. Army – made it clear he’s not even willing to share his birthday with the Army, as he acted like a petulant child, accusing members of the U.S. military of stealing big piles of cash in Iraq. He also tried, insanely, to claim that he’s a bigger defender of LGBTQA rights than Hillary Clinton.

President Obama and Sec. Clinton, however, took no BS from the orange fool with the Napoleon complex, hitting him on multiple issues, at nearly the same time, using incredibly similar words.

House Democrats on Tuesday also finally had enough of their Republican counterparts doing nothing on gun safety legislation, as they effectively staged a protest on the floor of the U.S. House, after the Orlando shooting. House Republicans responded by blocking a vote on a bill that would ensure federal contractors can’t discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

In the midst of all this, it was also discovered that the Russian government had hacked the DNC’s servers, apparently to get opposition research on Donald Trump, among thousands of other documents. And it was only Tuesday.

Vacation! We’re comin’ for ya!

Even while America is still reeling from the massacre in Orlando over the weekend, time marches on, with several semi-important events of note today. Today is the last primary election day this year (HALLELUJAH!), as residents of Washington, DC, voting on the Democratic ballot get to stand and be counted today. It’s also supposed to be a semi-holiday for Americans – Flag Day, when we celebrate the Congress’ adoption of the first American flag on June 14, 1775. Last, and certainly least, it’s also the 70th birthday of the orange proto-fascist Donald Trump.

As more and more info comes out about the massacre in Orlando, the facts continue to pile up that this incident is more about bigotry and guns than it is any other subject, even if many on the right are still scrambling to avoid talking about those topics. Democrats in Congress have made it clear, they will be bringing new gun safety bills up for votes, regardless of what the Republican majority wants.

Surprisingly, not everyone on the right is saying what you might think. Some Republican legislators have begun leaking that they might finally be in favor of some new gun safety legislation. Even Fox host Bill O’Reilly admitted on Colbert last night that he’d be in favor of a new assault weapons ban.

Meanwhile, Pride celebrations around the country, while beefing up security, are continuing loud and proud – and Democrats are even standing up for gay men, saying there should be an end to the ban on gay men donating blood.

Things can change. We are #StrongerTogether. Let’s do what it takes.

The worst mass shooting gun death in American history, and – outside of war – one of the worst in human history. There’s no other way to say it. This should not be happening, in America or anywhere.

At least 50 people died at the Pulse nightclub, a well-known LGBT nightclub in Orlando, Florida that was having it’s weekly ‘Latino night’ special — and was a perfect target for a deranged American, who by the accounts of many who knew him, was a bigoted, racist, misogynist with mental problems.

From the moments the nation began to wake up to the news, the reaction from Americans, and from the presumptive nominees of both major political parties has been measurably different. While Sec. Clinton’s first tweet noted shock, she was obviously concerned with the victims and their families. Donald Trump first oversimplified the incident, then out himself at the center of the spotlight, saying, “Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism…”

That kind of selfish arrogance and hubris has been a key failing at the heart of the civil war within the GOP, and it flared strongly this weekend at a Republican summit held by former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney in Utah.

For as difficult as the Democratic primary has been, Sen. Sanders made it clear over the weekend that he too stands with common sense gun safety laws, as Democrats, and indeed Americans of all stripes did the humane thing, thinking first about others, about those affected by this violence, instead of themselves.

It’s a Friday, and after a Thursday where Democrats were handing out Republican asswhuppings and candy, they seemed to have ran out of candy around breakfasttime on Thursday.

Thursday began with a meeting between Sen. Bernie Sanders and President Obama about the Democratic Primary, and after the speech, Sen. Sanders came out of the White House, effectively acknowledge he’d lost the Democratic Primary, and vowed to go all in on Donald Trump. Shortly thereafter, President Obama released his official endorsement of Sec. Clinton in a three-minute video, that made it clear he is fired up for Hillary Clinton, and ready to hit the campaign trail. In fact, Obama and Clinton have already scheduled their first campaign appearance for next week.

Things really got ramped up in the evening, however, as Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Vice President Biden gave blistering speeches and attacks on Donald Trump and all the Republicans have and are enabling Trump, a a gathering of the American Constitution Society. Warren followed that up with her own official endorsement of Sec. Clinton on Rachel Maddow’s Show on MSNBC.

And what were Republicans doing?

Most were backpedaling, trying to avoid questions about Trump, and his latest scandal, the Trump apparently doesn’t pay all his bills – an odd problem for a man who claims to be so wealthy. Not all Republicans are sticking with Trump, however. Sen. Lindsey Graham has made it clear he won’t, and it now appears Republicans like Sen. Susan Collins may join him.

The general election has begun, and the Left is #FiredUp & #ReadyToGo

From the top down, it seems that everyone except a few dead-enders know that the Democratic Primary race is finally over. From President Obama, to top Sanders supporters, the word is getting out that it’s time to move on – even if some, like Vice President Biden are urging Democrats to let Sanders & his supporters unite at their own pace. Even MoveOn.org, a Sanders supporting group, has made it clear that it’s time to put the primary behind. And while some few die hards in the Clinton camp seem loathe to admit it, the word from some of Sanders’ top surrogates is that he understands and agrees that it’s time to unite. Sanders is even set to meet with President Obama today to talk about the further reunification of the Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, on the right, the Trumpster fire & GOP civil war appear to have no end in sight. While Trump is angrily lashing out at Republicans, telling them to ‘man up’ and get behind him, some Republicans continue to call for an open revolt at their convention – and their voices are getting louder. Trump’s problems don’t end there. Trump’s support on Capitol hill – what little there was – appears to be drying up. Americans still rightly think Trump’s racist comments about Judge Curiel were racist, and many want him to apologize And on top of it all, Trump now says he doesn’t really need to fundraise, because he ‘gets so much free publicity’ from the media.

It’s even worse for the GOP on the state level in places like California, where the general election competition for the Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Boxer will between two Democrats – and no Republicans.

Still – there are plenty of areas in the country where too many Republicans are still holding things back. So it’s time to get active – NOW.

It was a historic last ‘Super Tuesday’ last night in the United States of America as former Secretary Hillary Clinton passed the point in the vote totals where she became the first ever presumptive nominee for president of a major political party in this nation. Even with clear and strong wins from California to New Jersey, she was gracious to Sen. Bernie Sanders, making it clear that “unity is better than division” and that we are all “better together.”

For his part, Sen. Sanders arrived late to his rally in Santa Monica – after 2AM East Coast time – and was alternately kind and defiant to Sec. Clinton. What was obvious is that Sanders does NOT want Trump to win, and he seemed to make some comments towards future reconciliation, even as he promised to take things all the way to the Democratic convention.

It may not have helped Sanders that a blistering expose, obviously created from leaks inside his own campaign, came out in Politico Tuesday night, showing that whatever positivity Sanders’ fans have been experiencing, life inside his campaign has been anything but harmonious.

On the GOP side, even as the Trumpster fire continued to explode, and Republicans of all striped denounced and ran away from him, Donald Trump took the podium last night to give a stilted and odd speech – from a teleprompter – after a non-apology apology press release earlier in the day over his racist comments towards a judge.

The general election starts today, folks. Game on.

First – before anything else – if you’re in a state that’s voting today? GO. VOTE. NOW. Put down your phone, get off your ass, and go vote FOR WHOMEVER YOU WANT (except Trump).

It’s the last really, super duper Tuesday of the 2016 primaries (Yes, DC – we know you vote next week), and the entire day got pre-empted last night by the AP. After calling superdelegates and asking them who they were voting for, the AP reporters did the math and realized Hillary Clinton had passed the mark to make her the first ever female nominee for President by a major political party in the United States.

Not surprisingly, neither Clinton, Sanders, or their teams seemed to be happy with this last-minute metaphorical stick-in-the-spokes before election day. Also not surprisingly, the Sanders camp continued to say that even with big wins today, Clinton won’t secure the nomination. What was a small surprise was the announcement this morning by Rep. Nancy Pelosi that was officially endorsing Hillary Clinton.

Remember – if you’re in a state that’s holding an election today? VOTE!

Over in the Trumpster fire that is the Republican Party, while Republican leaders keep trying to distance themselves from their chosen nominee, the candidate himself seems to be pouring gas on the fire, telling his surrogates increase the criticism of anyone calling him out on his racist comments. That directive just adds to the growing problems surrounding the massive fraud of Trump University. Trump also now appears to be getting a tax cut in New York that’s supposed to be reserved for middle class families. No wonder Trump doesn’t want anyone seeing his complete tax returns.

Democrats were handing out candy and and political asswuppings to Donald Trump on Thursday – and they obviously ran out of candy before the day even started.

Hillary Clinton, in a major policy speech on foreign policy in California was brilliant, concise, and brutally honest, eviscerating Donald Trump in a 35 minute speech that even many Republicans admitted was amazing. She called out many of Trump’s disasters, called him “dangerously incoherent” and “temperamentally unfit” to be president.

Current President Barack Obama also smacked down Trump yesterday, at his final Air Force commencement speech, repeatedly making the comparisons about those who threaten war and conflict, and the gains America has made under his tenure with diplomacy, and other kinds of outreach.

Former President Bill Clinton, campaigning for his wife in Las Cruces, New Mexico also tromped Trump, noting that Hillary wants to “build bridges, not walls”, and noting that she is in favor of massive infrastructure investment in America (which would create lots of jobs), as well as comprehensive immigration reform.

On the GOP side, House Speaker Paul Ryan finally capitulated, giving a meek endorsement of Trump to his hometown newspaper and the AP, but not giving any real speech about his newfound support for the Republican nominee.

For his part, Donald Trump held a rally in San Jose on Thursday, where he entered the event to one of Hitler’s favorite songs, and blasted Hillary Clinton saying she should go to jail. Trump protesters unfortunately fought with some of Trump’s fans outside that rally, causing a big spectacle for cable “news” channels.

For those people foolish enough to think a Donald Trump presidency would be filled with anything other than petulance and drama, the world got a taste of what that nightmare might look like on Tuesday. Trump tried – and failed – to defend his claims in January that he’d already chosen the veterans groups he was supposedly given $6M to, and that he’d already given that money to those groups a long time ago.

When members of the media from across the spectrum confronted Trump with the fact that his claims didn’t match reality, he did what any short-tempered, arrogant bully does — and began beating up on those using facts to expose his lies.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton picked up the endorsement of California’s Governor Jerry Brown, a person who’s feuded with the Clintons in the past. Clinton also picked the first ever presidential endorsement of the NRDC, a group that hasn’t always stood with Clinton. Both endorsements seem to highlight the difference between how progressives and Trump handle disagreements.

Speaking of endorsements and Trump, the Republican nominee also picked up an endorsement Tuesday – the insane, crazy-haired leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un. [Try reading that without hearing Jim Ward’s impression of Kim Jong Un in your mind. You can’t do it.]

Back in the U.S., while the Colorado GOP is still passing around racists photos of President Obama, the President himself is headed to Elkhart, Indiana today to highlight the economic news that consumer spending in the U.S. – a sign of continued improvement – is at it’s highest level in six years. That trends along with Obama’s approval ratings, which are also at their highest level in years.

As America returns from a long Memorial Day weekend, the Democratic primary heads into the final stretch, with primaries in six states happening next Tuesday. Sen Bernie Sanders continues to say somewhat confusing things about unifying Dems, but one key message he keeps repeating is clear: He’ll do whatever it takes to help beat Donald Trump. If you understand math, that means he’s going to be supporting Hillary Clinton & urging his supporters to do the same.

Meanwhile, the Trumpster fire continues in the GOP, as the Republican nominee Donald Trump and his campaign continue to stumble and fight with everyone. Trump’s lies keep piling up too; on donations to veterans, on immigration, and over the weekend, on the drought in California. Trump said the drought was over – which is news to scientists, who know that California is still suffering the worst drought in 500 years.

The Republican Party seems to be in even worse shape, as former young leaders in the GOP like Marco Rubio are apologizing for their previous critiques of Trump, and now pretty much bowing to whatever Trump wants.

For those people who still think a third party effort in America today is viable (It’s not – again, do the math), the Libertarian Party chose their Presidential & VP candidates over the weekend, after a parade of potential nominees — including at least one candidate who stripped naked, live on C-SPAN.

That act alone will certainly qualify as memorable, though that’s certainly not what Memorial Day is supposed to be about.

It’s Memorial Day weekend!!! Seems like the entire world needs a break from the insanity that has been the 2016 U.S. presidential primaries so far. President Obama tried to give the world that very solemn and calming start as he gave a brief address in Hiroshima, Japan, at the site where America first dropped a nuclear bomb during World War II.

Not surprisingly, Donald Trump didn’t seem to care what anyone else wanted, as he once again vainly attacked Elizabeth Warren, even as it’s obvious she’s really gotten to him. Trump also blustered on about the proposed debate between himself and Bernie Sanders. You’d think he would have talked more about the fact that he clinched the nomination on Thursday, as several uncommitted Republican delegates committed to voting for him – but things like details aren’t nearly as attention grabbing as picking fights.

Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders went on Jimmy Kimmel’s show and also talked about the debate, along with some policy discussion, while Hillary Clinton went on the Ellen show and talked a bit about her past, her family, and a bit about policy. Wonder which side is really serious about governing this country. The polls are also looking better for both Sec. Clinton and Sen. Sanders, as both of them continue to trounce Trump.

Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend, be safe, and thank a veteran or first responder!

Even while some of the media prattles on about the new report that Hillary Clinton, like many other former Secretaries of State from both parties, seems to have abused State Department rules on email, the fact is, Clinton didn’t actually break any laws. Of course, if you believe the hyperventilating Clinton haters, you probably also ought to be crucified for stealing rolls of tape from work, or photocopying your ass.

Speaking of breaking protocol, after Bernie Sanders forwarded a question to Donald Trump, through late night TV host Jimmy Kimmel, it appears the pending GOP nominee, and the won’t be Democratic nominee are looking to set up a debate between them in California before the primary there. If you don’t think Clinton won’t crash that debate, you obviously don’t know her that well either.

Overseas in Japan, President Obama has made it clear other world leaders are rattled by Trump’s arrogance and ignorance.

Meanwhile, the War on Workers (which hasn’t stopped since the 1970s) keeps beating on working Americans, while the GOP is set to officially nominate yet another selfish corporatist in Donald Trump – and he’s not ashamed of screwing other people so he can make a buck, something he’s proudly saying right now. At the same time, his attacks on Hillary Clinton for Bill Clinton’s mistakes in the 1990s look to be ineffective, even while Sen. Elizabeth Warren and several other Democrats keep landing heavy blows on Trump.

It’s another day-after-a-primary, and once again, Clinton and Trump were winners – though because Washington state already had a Democratic caucus (even though about four times as many voters showed up for the primary over the caucus) Clintons’ win doesn’t count for anything. Talk about a rigged system.

In New Mexico last night, Trump gave a speech – and protesters finally had enough. Apparently, New Mexicans don’t like the guy who wants to prevent any other new Mexicans – or any other immigrant – from becoming Americans.

Truthfully, just as John Melendez predicted, Trump’s old comments that reveal who he truly is are already beginning to cause problems for him. The latest fuel for the Trumpster fire is a 2006 interview he did for Trump University, where Trump said that he hoped a big real estate crash would happen so he could “make a lot of money.”

That comment earned him a verbal ass-whuppin’ from Rep. Tim Ryan of Ohio on the floor of the U.S House, and a blistering condemnation from Sen. Elizabeth Warren at a speech on Thursday. It also allowed former Sen Bill Bradley to expose Trump’s lies on taxes even further.

Trump also got called out by Jake Tapper for trying to use old, proven lies & smears from the 1990s.

Holy crap, it’s Monday again – and that Prince Tribute by Madonna at the Billboard Awards gave everyone in America a hangover – except of course Donald Trump, who continues to claim he’s never had a drink. Of course, he’s also probably lying about that too.

Just over the weekend alone, Trump tried to be on both sides of the topic of guns in school classrooms, it looks like he’s going to use campaign donations to pay himself back – after he said he would never do that, and the Trump campaign had to admit he didn’t actually raise $6 Million for veterans. Even the NRA is catching hell for backing Trump, after he said he supported gun safety laws. And – no surprise – data from the Republican primaries is showing that despite Trump’s claims, he hasn’t actually expanded the GOP.

And while much of the mainstream media is screaming about polls, the fact is that polls don’t mean much this far out from the general election – a fact Hillary Clinton calmly noted over the weekend.

In fact, even as the Democratic primaries continue, and Bernie Sanders continues to say Democratic voters should choose him, both Sanders and Clinton seem to be moving towards a single message – that everyone on the Left, as well as all Americans are stronger together. Also unsurprisingly, that’s why right-wing trolls are trying to pose as lefties, in an increasingly sad attempt to divide Progressives and Liberals so that Trump can win.

Meanwhile, President Obama is making new allies in foreign policy during his trip to Southeast Asia, even as Congress is – shockingly – actually getting some real work done.

A GOP-led Congress doing actual work? Looks like anything is possible after all.

In an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Thursday, Former Secretary of State – and likely Democratic Nominee – Hillary Clinton flat out told Cuomo that Donald Trump is not qualified to be President of The United States. She went on to note that Trump’s comments and tweets, before anyone knows for sure, that the crash of the EgyptAir jet this week was terrorism, is the kind of reckless talk that’s dangerous to the United States.

While Clinton was being presidential with CNN, Trump seemed to be practicing to be a fascist dictator, trashing Hillary Clinton at a Chris Christie fundraiser. This after recently going on Fox and effectively threatening Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos for publishing criticism of Trump.

Meanwhile, Sen. Bernie Sanders may be changing his tune, ever so subtly, he seems to have continued noting he beats Trump in the polls, while stopping some of his attacks against Clinton, and beginning to note Democratic unity and togetherness in his speeches.

While Congress did make positive steps on Thursday towards marijuana and getting rid of the traitorous confederate flag, unfortunately Republicans in the House played a bait-n-switch, screwing over LGBT Americans once again.

Another plane has gone down mysteriously – this one of a plane headed from Paris to Cairo – so cable news has gone into full crazy speculation mode. That hasn’t slowed down the crazy news coming from the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

It’s like opposite world, as somewhat surprisingly, the Democratic Party seems to be the one dealing with serious internal conflict between Sanders’ extremists and the rest of the party. Many are calling for Sanders to get out now, while many others say Sanders has every right to stay in, even though he’s effectively mathematically eliminated.

Amid the Democratic infighting, Republicans seem to have finally agreed to give up on a third party alternative to Trump, and Bill O’Reilly is even entreating his viewers to stop hating Obama & Clinton. At the same time as Democrats keep fighting, Donald Trump seems to be gaining in the polls and moving forward. Trump even released a list of potential Supreme Court nominees on Wednesday, a murderer’s row of conservative extremist judges who would almost assuredly turn the Supreme Court into a wholly illegitimate institution.

Meanwhile, some in DC actually tried to get some governing accomplished on Wednesday, as Democratic Rep. Barbara Lee got her fellow House members to discuss and even vote on repealing the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force. At the same time, Speaker Paul Ryan looks to have struck a deal with President Obama to help Puerto Rico with its massive debt problem.

It was another primary Tuesday, and – no surprise – Donald Trump won the Republican primary in Oregon. For the Democrats, however, Clinton and Sanders split the night, with Sec. Clinton winning by a razor-thin margin in Kentucky, while Sen. Sanders won by nine percent in Oregon. That may sound like a great win for Sanders – his first in a closed primary state. But in order for it to have really been great for the Sanders campaign, he needed to win Oregon by 20 and he needed to win Kentucky by a solid margin, neither of which happened.

Those two contest results, lumped together with the events of the weekend in Nevada, the current reported rift between labor and environmentalists, and capped by Sanders’ threatened ultimatum to the DNC in his speech Tuesday night, make the current Trumpster fire in the GOP look positively cozy compared to sudden explosion on the Left. It’s even made some comment openly if Sanders wants to be the Ralph Nader of 2016.

On the right, it was a downright lovefest between Fox’s Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump on Tuesday night, even if more of his lies and chicanery were exposed. Trump also stumbled on Tuesday in an interview with Reuters, saying he’d be winning to meet with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un – after last week making it clear he might not want to meet with the Prime Minister of the UK.

In the midst of all this, President Obama just kept doing what real progressives do, making progress by boosting the pay of millions through expansion of labor overtime rules.

It’s a Tuesday – so that means more primary elections, today for both parties in Oregon, and for just the Democrats in Kentucky. It’s likely that Sec. Clinton and Sen. Sanders will split the elections, and they’ll definitely split the delegates – all of which won’t change the fact that Clinton is already effectively the Democratic nominee.

On the right, the Trumpster fire that is the GOP’s presidential nominee continues to talk out of both sides of his face. On Monday, after more than a year of trashing pollsters, and insisting he doesn’t need to hire a pollster, Trump did the traditional Republican thing and hired a veteran GOP pollster.

Both Clinton & Trump camps are also beginning to leak some of their strategies to the media – and as expected, it looks to be a brutal next six months.

While the GOP-led US Congress continues to do nothing, the Supreme Court decided not to decide on Monday, on another challenge to the birth control provisions of the ACA, effectively giving a win to pro-women’s forces.

And at the state level, in a surprise turnabout, the Oklahoma state legislature is finally looking at Medicaid expansion, as allowed for in the ACA.

While Trump’s misogynistic tendencies took up much of the media’s time this weekend, both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders campaigned on, aiming to pick up delegates in Kentucky and Oregon on Tuesday. While the GOP may be in the midst of a raging Trumpster fire, and entertainers from Patrick Stewart to Jennifer Lawrence may be noting how awful he is, Americans in general, still seem to think America hasn’t stopped being great.

Indeed, notes of optimism could be heard from President Obama and Sen. Elizabeth Warren at college commencements, and from Sec. Clinton too, as she campaigned. And while there may be stories of how some Americans are still having problems with Obamacare, studies are proving that the ACA has been incredibly effective.

In general, things may not be perfect in America, but they’re certainly looking better than many in politics and the media – especially those centered around Donald Trump – would make you believe, if you only listened to them.

It’s a Friday – but that doesn’t make it a slow news day, as the Obama Administration decided Thursday they’d had enough of the bullying and BS surrounding the so-called ‘bathroom battles’ over anti-LGBT laws. So late Thursday, the administration released a directive to all public schools in the U.S. to provide transgender students with ‘access to suitable facilities — including bathrooms and locker rooms — that match their chosen gender identity.’

Not surprisingly, the right is trying to fight back in their own way, as a Bush-appointed federal judge ruled on Thursday that a key part of the ACA, that allows for the subsidies that now help more than 12 million Americans have health insurance. Taking away the insurance of millions of Americans – or costing millions of others hundreds or thousands of dollars more a month – isn’t exactly a great election year move by Republicans in Congress, though we can see why they’d try to do almost anything other than focus on their presidential nominee.

Speaking of the orange man, Trump met with Speaker Paul Ryan and other influential Republicans in DC on Thursday, and of course, they all claimed the meeting was “encouraging” – what’d people expect them to say? Still, the Trumpster fire that is The Donald’s campaign keeps burning even higher. Now, Trump’s former butler – both online, and in an interview with CBS – has called for both President Obama and Sec. Clinton to be killed.

If this is the way Republicans want to roll up to the 2016 elections? President Obama said it best, to Mitt Romney in 2012: “Please proceed…”

Taxes, whining, and racism – just your basic mix of modern GOP politics – continues on today, even as Donald Trump meets with Speaker Paul Ryan and others at the GOP Headquarters in DC. It’s likely Trump will dodge many of their questions, just as he continues to dodge the demand for his tax returns.

Someone Trump can’t dodge is Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who’s pretty much had it with Trump’s bluster, sexism, racism, ignorance, and arrogance. She’s taken to kicking Trump’s ass on Twitter, even while Sec. Clinton blasts Trump on the campaign trail for not releasing his taxes – something she’s released over two decades of.

Trump seems to be bringing out the rest of the most well-known right-wing troglodytes too. George Zimmerman has decided to sell the gun he used to kill Trayvon Martin, Ted Nugent has released a fake video where Bernie Sanders shoots Hillary Clinton, and even Heidi Cruz is getting into the act, comparing her husband’s failed campaign to the fight against slavery.

Elsewhere, in North Carolina, pro-LGBT forces keep fighting back against the bigotry & ignorance of that state’s recent anti-trans bathroom law, as students in N.C. are suing their state. They’ve got allies though in the Target Corporation, as Target’s CEO says they won’t cave on their trans-friendly bathroom policy.

It was another Election Tuesday yesterday, and as expected, Trump won in both West Virginia and Nebraska for the Republicans, while Sanders won in West Virginia. Oddly, Nebraska also had a Democratic Primary, which Hillary Clinton won – but because Nebraska Democrats also had a caucus earlier in the year, her win didn’t really count. (Yet, we don’t hear Hillary fans complaining… #justsayin )

In response to Sander’s recent string of wins, it appears Hillary is once again buying ads for the primary. At the same time, she continues to push forward, detailing her well-thought out plans to actually fix America’s problems.

Meanwhile, the roaring Trumpster fire continues on for the GOP. And now it appears that Trump won’t be releasing his tax records before the election after all. At the same time, after flip-flopping on his tax plan four times in four days, the Trump campaign appears to be rewriting his plan, yet again. All this while the Trump campaign just openly chose a white nationalist to be one of his delegates to this summer’s GOP convention. And just think – Trump is less popular with Americans than head lice, root canals, or the much-maligned rock band Nickelback.

The mainstream media also continues to cover the campaign horribly – though thankfully, Jon Stewart came onto David Axelrod’s podcast the other day to blast them for their incompetence, as he used to do daily. Thankfully, Stewart will be back on TV this fall on HBO. And not a moment too soon.

If you’ve thought this year has been totally going to the crapper, you probably weren’t surprised on Monday when North Carolina and the Federal government sued each other over the state’s anti-LGBT bathroom law. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, in a bold stand with LGBT Americans in North Carolina, and specifically trans Americans, made it clear that the White House – and most of America – stand with our fellow LGBT Americans against North Carolina’s crazy law.

While the fight in North Carolina blew up, the GOP Civil War continued, with Speaker Paul Ryan smacking ‘Caribou Barbie’ Palin around, while at the same time, effectively saying if Trump wants Ryan to stay away from this summer’s GOP convention, Ryan would do just that.

Meanwhile, on the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton continues trying to bring Bernie supporters to her side, and she’s making some very persuasive arguments. A growing number of Democrats are even talking about a potential Clinton/Warren ticket.

Considering how 2016 has gone so far? Anything is possible.

Even while a segment of Canada as large as Chicago burned this weekend, the Trumpster fire of the 2016 election rolled on this weekend here in the U.S. Donald Trump, the lump at the center of that disaster, began trying to trash Hillary Clinton – and in the process, took a swipe at Elizabeth Warren. Elsewhere, Caribou Barbie, the former half-time Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, crawled out from under her rock to trash Speaker Paul Ryan on behalf of the orange-skinned monster that is He, Trump.

How worried is the rest of the world about Trump? Even Saudi princes are urging Americans to make a choice other than Trump. Meanwhile, in London, they elected that world city’s first Muslim mayor, even as Prince Harry began hosting the Invictus games in South Florida.

Thankfully, to counter the insanity, President Obama gave a brilliant commencement address at Howard University that once again made clear exactly what Progressivism is – and it’s exactly where America ought to be.

While the new “Captain America: Civil War” movie might be what millions of Americans are watching this weekend, the ‘GOP: Civil War’ might end up having even more big blow ups, now that Trump is the Republican nominee for President. After all, neither President Bush is backing Trump. Mitt Romney isn’t even going to the Republican convention this summer. Legendary Republican strategist Mary Matalin has even left the GOP over Trump – and she’s far from the only one. Some of Jeb Bush’s backers have now even said they’ll support Hillary Clinton, over Trump.

But the news isn’t all bad.

With Mothers Day this weekend, restaurants and other businesses across the country are giving Moms all kinds of free goodies. Janet Jackson may be pregnant, Jon Stewart may be coming back to tv before the election this fall, and Americans are actually pretty upbeat about the job market.

And just like that, the primaries – at least on the Republican side – are done, after Gov. John Kasich dropped out of the GOP presidential race on Wednesday.

On the Democratic side, Sec. Clinton seems to focusing ahead on the general election, as her campaign has began putting out some brutal ads against Trump – including one entirely filled with Republicans blasting Trump.

For his part, Trump is starting the general election in a deep hole, and he may already be making it worse by reversing his tune on campaign finance, and beginning to accept Super PAC money. What’s worse, Republicans of huge stature within the GOP, like both Presidents Bush, are making it known they have no plans to endorse Trump or help him in any way.

In health news, California is now raising the legal age for smoking to 21, while researchers have confirmed that raising the minimum wage also improves mental health.

President Obama also visited Flint, Michigan on Wednesday, as he’d promised he would. He spoke with residents and officials there, making it clear he stands with them. He even drank some of Flint’s finest filtered water. Behind the scenes, President Obama continues to try to get the residents of Flint taken care of, and he promised them he would not give up until their water woes were taken care of.

…and a happy Cinco de Mayo!

Thanks to Tuesday’s election in Indiana, both Republican and Democratic voters seem to be in a bit of a haze over the results.

For once, Indiana mattered in the presidential primary elections last night, as a massive win by Donald Trump pushed Sen. Ted Cruz to get out of the race. Gov. John Kasich said he would continue, but with Cruz out, there’s no real chance of a contested convention – foreclosing any slim chance Kasich had left. Still, effectively Donald Trump – the man KKK leaders have said would be perfect for the job, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren destroyed on Twitter on Tuesday – is now the effective nominee for the GOP.

On the Democratic side, even though Sen. Sanders won the popular vote, he only netted six delegate votes against Clinton. And even though he’s been mathematically eliminated, Sen. Sanders insists he’s continuing on.

It’s another Tuesday, and another election day, this time in Indiana, where the outcome for both Democrats and Republicans has a possibility of ending the primary season a bit early.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump already appear to be moving into general election mode. Unsurprisingly, Trump is already throwing veiled threats at Clinton, while she’s made it clear, she will be standing up for herself – or as Trump calls it, playing the woman card.

Elsewhere, Puerto Rico defaulted on millions of dollars of debt on Monday, while the GOP Congress seemed to continue its year of doing nothing. Recent polling seems to show that like Trump’s misogynic effects on women, Republicans in Congress doing nothing to help the Hispanic majority of Americans in Puerto Rico may drive other hispanic Americans away from the GOP this fall.

Add that to the list of other problems Republicans are facing going into this fall’s elections – including math – and things just keep getting darker for those on the right.

Maybe they should just become Sexy Liberals. We have more fun & more concerts anyway,

For the President and the rest of the national political media, it was the last White House Correspondent’s Dinner of Obama’s tenure – or as he joked, possibly the last one ever. Not surprisingly, President Obama outperformed comedian Larry Wilmore, like he’s done almost every comedian.

Meanwhile, Republican Ted Cruz spent the weekend stealing delegates from Trump in what will likely be a failed attempt to stop Trump. At the same time, as a Trump nomination gets closer, Republicans down-ballot keep moving away from him.

In other news, looks like Malia Obama will also be moving away – to Harvard, in 2017.

The Democratic nomination fight also appears to still be dragging on, and Sen. Sanders confirmed that over the weekend, at a press conference at the National Press Club, vowing that he’ll also make the Democratic Convention a contested one.

Former House Speaker John Boehner may be gone from his old job, but after Thursday, he’s certainly not forgotten. In case you missed it, Boehner, at an event at Stanford, compared Sen. Ted Cruz to Lucifer and said that he never worked with a more miserable SOB than Cruz. Of course, this sent Cruz into defensive overdrive – and sent the media scrambling to cover the namecalling.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump had yet another major rally followed by massive violence, that much of the media didn’t cover. It’s not entirely surprising the national political media is missing a few things this weekend, as it’s once again White House Correspondents Dinner weekend.

Meanwhile, in the rest of the country, the 2016 political races continue – and Americans hate the GOP more this year than at any time since 1992. Meanwhile, Americans seem to have a more favorable view of Democrats.

Finally, as columnist Eugene Robinson suggests, if Hillary Clinton chooses Sen. Elizabeth Warren for her VP – assuming she gets the Democratic nomination this summer – it could be a real landslide election for Democrats this fall.

Unless, of course, Lefties stay home like they did in 2010 & 2014.

After Tuesday’s primaries, barring something incredibly unusual, it looks like both the Democratic & Republican Parties have their nominees – Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Unsurprisingly, Trump capped off his victory speech Tuesday with what may be one of the most sexist things Trump has said about Clinton to date. Also unsurprisingly, Clinton knocked back Trump’s slam with the perfect response:”If fighting for women’s health care and paid family leave and equal pay is playing the woman card, then deal me in!”

Trump also went on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and clearly stated that he’s going to try to steal Bernie Sanders’ ideas and pass them off as his own.

On top of all this, it also appears that the lawsuit against Trump University will go to trial during the election this year – and Trump may have to testify.

In non-election news, a new poll confirmed that American millennials hate capitalism. Also, Prince may not have had a will.

It’s another primary election Tuesday, or as some have nicknamed this one, ‘The Acela Primaries.’ The frontrunners in each party, Clinton and Trump, both look to pick up solid wins in multiple states today, if the polls are to be believed. Voters nationwide seem more than willing to be done with the nomination process already.

Meanwhile, in legal and justice news, the city of Cleveland settled with the family of Tamir Rice on Monday for $6M, while the stalker of journalist and sports reporter Erin Andrews settled with her as well. In Florida, a federal judge has once again stopped another stupid anti-choice restriction. Unfortunately, in North Carolina, a different federal judge has upheld that state’s photo voter ID law.

In entertainment news, New England Patriot Tom Brady looks like he might have to serve a four game suspension for playing with his balls anyway, after a judge ruled the NFL’s suspension was completely in-bounds.

It’s another busy monday, as President Obama wraps up his European trip in Germany today, where he announced he’s sending an additional 250 Special Operations forces to assist local forces fighting ISIS. At the same time, U.S. forces began a massive cyber attack on ISIS over the weekend.

In other news of strange allies, Sen. Ted Cruz & Gov. John Kasich made it clear Sunday night that they’re teaming up to fight Donald Trump to a draw, forcing the contested convention many on the right seem to be wanting.

In even stranger news, Charles Koch told ABC News’ Jon Karl over the weekend that Bill Clinton was, in many ways, a better president than George W. – and that Hillary also might be better than any of the Republicans running this cycle.

Meanwhile, Senator Sanders did himself no favors this weekend, seeming to blame poor people not voting for him as a reason his campaign seems to be losing momentum. Sanders has been losing in states with higher inequality, though he’s been losing to Fmr. Sec. Hillary Clinton, not apathy.

Finally, the Prince tributes continued over the weekend, with amazing covers of Prince songs by Bruce Springsteen, Adam Levine, and Elton John, even as Prince’s body was cremated, and his close circle held a private memorial service.

Today is Earth Day, though millions of people around the world may still be focusing on the death of one of the most talented, barrier-breaking artists in history, Prince. From all-night dance parties in Minneapolis, to Broadway shows closing with impromptu renditions of Prince songs, to public acts of mourning around the world, the loss of Prince is being deeply felt across the globe.

Life does keep moving, however, and the 2016 U.S. political race did continue Thursday, with at least one candidate, Gov. John Kasich, publically noting how he wished he’d seen Prince in concert. Elsewhere, Sen. Bernie Sanders and Fmr. Secretary Clinton seem to be trying to patch things up, on their way to the Democratic nomination. At the same time, Republican candidates for their party’s nomination are still fighting over which Americans should use what bathrooms, even as a growing list of other prominent Republicans are making it clear they won’t be caught anywhere near the GOP’s ugly pissing match in Cleveland this summer.

Meanwhile, President Obama is urging the Britain to remain in the EU, before his lunch with Queen Elizabeth later today.

In positive news, today is Earth Day, & contrary to so many, Earth is not as doomed as they say.

And in even more positive news, there may be a silver lining to Prince’s death. After the artist’s death was announced Thursday, MTV dumped their normal programming, and went back to playing music videos. And in related news, it appears that MTV may be going back to its music-dominated roots on a permanent basis in the near future.

Guess we now know what it takes to get MTV to play music videos again.

In news of monetary justice, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew made a long overdue, but welcome announcement on Wednesday that anti-slavery activist Harriet Tubman is now set to replace noted racist President Andrew Jackson on the $20. He also announced that Hamilton would stay on the $10, while several other women of note, and Martin Luther King Jr. would also be added to the $5, $10, and $20 bills.

Meanwhile, in a blow to skewed Republican redistricting, the Supreme Court upheld Arizona’s new unbiased redistricting. The High Court also ruled that U.S. terror victims can collect up to $2M from Iran.

Back on the presidential campaign trail, Donald Trump’s new handlers seem to be trying to convince him to put on a new, more presidential attitude, though it’s already obvious that “Trump 2.0” isn’t quite working like they thought he would.

In other news, while corporate health insurers seem to be trying to step away from the ACA, President Obama’s health insurance program continues to prove it works, especially for the poor.

In LGBT news, Target has decided to show the rest of the U.S. how they should treat transgender people – with respect and decency. Sadly, former Major League Baseball all-star Curt Schilling couldn’t seem to do the same, so ESPN fired him late Wednesday.

Former WWE star Chyna also appears to have died of a drug overdose Wednesday, while the UK’s Queen Elizabeth celebrated her 90th birthday.

The New York primary is over, and it was a blowout in both major parties. Hillary Clinton beat Bernie Sanders by 16 points – more solidly than many pundits thought she would. Trump defeated both Kasich and Cruz by more than 35 points – though he lost his own home county of Manhattan.

Elsewhere across the country, the social issue wars are still going on, as ignorant, GOP-controlled states are continuing to try and re-fight the battles over abortion and LGBT rights. Thankfully, there was more good news for good people Tuesday, as the Fourth Circuit Court ruled in favor of a transgender teen in Virginia – which will also affect laws in North Carolina.

Justice also looks to be coming to Flint, Michigan today, as news sources have confirmed at least three government officials will be criminally charged today in the ongoing Flint water crisis.

Our money may also be getting a proper facelift, thanks to the musical Hamilton, as well as Secretary Jack Lew, who appears ready to replace Jackson on the $20 with a woman, maybe as soon as this year.

New Yorkers are pulling levers and pushing buttons in both the Democratic and Republican primary elections today. For the record, both Clinton & Sanders are up by double digits in most reliable polls, and most people expect both front runners to win their party’s races handily today.

After a day of arguing immigration in front of the Supreme Court, it looks like the Republican’s refusal to add another justice to the bench, may net them a temporary victory on immigration, even if many Republicans agree that the law is on President Obama’s side.

On a state level, while North Carolina has to suffer another lost concert due to their anti-LGBT law, Michigan’s Gov. Rick Snyder says he’s going to drink filtered water from Flint for the next month, to “prove” that the water there is actually safe. Meanwhile, hundreds continue to be arrested in DC, at the ‘Democracy Spring’ event – including ice cream magnates Ben & Jerry.

Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Ash Carter says 200 more U.S. service members are being sent to Iraq to help beat ISIS, while China is attempting to prevent freaky people from ever being created by banning children of stars from appearing in reality shows.

Finally, everybody’s favorite Mom, actress Doris Roberts, who played the mother of comedian Ray Romano of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ died on Monday at the age 90.

The last big Supreme Court test of the Obama era begins today, as the eight Justices ( #DoYourJob Congress) hear oral arguments on President Obama’s extensions of DAPA & DACA.

Meanwhile, both Democratic and Republican presidential candidates are hitting the Empire State hard today, before Tuesday’s New York primary elections. She still leads Sanders in New York by double digits, after spending the weekend raising money for down-ballot Democratic candidates with actor and activist George Clooney. Not to be outdone, Sen. Sanders visited the Vatican over the weekend for a conference on economic inequality and shook hands with the Pope.

For Republicans, while Ted Cruz spent the weekend picking off delegates in places like Wyoming, Trump whined, complained – and continued to keep his double digit lead in his home state.

In other news, Brazillians look likely to impeach their president, while major earthquakes affected Ecuador and Japan over the weekend, as Saudi Arabia is attempting to threaten the U.S. over a 9/11 bill in Congress.

The Democratic Debate in Brooklyn Thursday night seemed somehow fitting in both its brutality and ugliness. And while both Fmr. Sec. Clinton and Sen. Sanders made their own unforced errors, the overall debate doesn’t appear to have changed much in the overall Democratic Primary race.

In another part of New York City, protesters caused difficulties outside a lavish fundraiser hosted by the New York state GOP, where all three Republican candidates were. It’s understandable that Republicans may have been trying to drink their woes away, given the hideously awful poll numbers of their frontrunner, and chief bigot, Donald Trump.

Speaking of bigots, North Carolina’s governor had to swallow his pride on Thursday, as he swore into office his state’s first openly gay state Representative.

Meanwhile, justice may be closer for the Sandy Hook families, as a judge decided a lawsuit against gun manufacturers has been allowed to go forward.

And in another win for justice and workers, a California appeals court threw out a 2014 ruling that took away tenure from teachers.

It you were in New York City Wednesday night, it was pretty hard to miss the 27,000 fans of Sen. Sanders as he held a massive rally before tonight’s Democratic Debate with Fmr. Sec. Clinton in Brooklyn. Both Clinton and Sanders also joined union workers on the picket lines against Verizon on Wednesday.

On the Republican side, the Trumpster fire continued, as Trump is now costing the GOP upwards of $20M just for security at this summer’s convention. Things weren’t much better for Ted Cruz, who – while trying to defend his comments on New York values – now also has to defend his old job, where he tried to support a ban on dildos.

Meanwhile, North Carolina’s bigotry may cost them billions of dollars, in both public and private spending. But don’t lump everyone in the ‘Deep South’ together. Louisiana’s fairly new Democratic governor signed a new order protecting LGBT rights on Wednesday, bucking the recent trend.

If you’re on the East Coast, and you can’t hear anything on your phone now, you can blame the corporate executives who’ve forced nearly 40,000 union workers at Verizon to start their labor strike today. That potentially unsteady communication could add to the headaches in New York City, Trump protestors will attempt to shut down a Trump event this Thursday, as the Democratic candidates debate in Brooklyn.

The New York Daily News officially endorsed Sec. Clinton today, while Sen. Sanders picked up his first Senate endorsement, from Sen. Jeff Merkley.

Speaker Paul Ryan also officially announced he will not accept the nomination of his party, if they try to give it to him at this summer’s GOP convention. Of course, Ryan also said similar things before he became Speaker of the House, so…

Since today is Equal Pay Day, it somehow seems sadly fitting that union members at one of the largest communications corporations in America are on the verge of a major strike. At the same time, a new study just released proves where everyone else’s raises have been going for the last 25 years – right into the pockets of the fat cats on Wall Street.

The news doesn’t get better when it comes to voting. One of the most racist Secretaries of State in America, Kris Kobach, just put out a Spanish voter guide this week – with the wrong registration deadline. As at least one former GOP staffer recently admitted, election tricks like wrong information and Voter ID are doing exactly what Republicans want – taking the right to vote away from likely Democratic voters.

Vice President Joe Biden, while noting both Democrats are highly qualified, let it slip that he personally would like to see a woman elected president. At the same time, GOP frontrunner Donald Trump keeps whining that he’s not winning it all – even though the Republican primary system has actually given him a bonus, and not harmed him.

Meanwhile, anti-LGBT forces are still trying to write discrimination into law at the state level, though North Carolina’s bigots may have finally met their match, as a major porn site has decided to also ban North Carolina users due to their new anti-LGBT law.

Sen. Sanders did win the Wyoming Democratic caucus over the weekend – but it wasn’t by enough, so he and Sec. Clinton earned the same number of pledged delegates. Meanwhile, both Sanders & Clinton hit the Sunday shows, since Trump was still hiding from the media.

After a 24 hour stretch of “unqualified” bs in the Democratic primary race for president, both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders seem to once again be uniting in their support for each other over any Republican. Unfortunately, that may be a bit too late for Former President Bill Clinton, who got into a shouting match with Black Lives Matter activists in Philadelphia.

Things are far worse for Republicans right now, as their frontrunner, Donald Trump, is now viewed somewhat or significantly negatively by 7 in 10 Americans, and ⅓ of Republican voters in multiple states now say they’ll vote for the Democrat or stay home if Trump is the GOP nominee. Sen. Ted Cruz has also been seeing a severely negative reaction from New Yorkers who remember Cruz’ “New York values” slam. Meanwhile, Gov. John Kasich seems to be gaining in the polls in upcoming states.

In environmental news, the Keystone pipeline running through South Dakota had a major oil spill this week. Meanwhile, Don Blankenship, former coal mine magnate will be going to prison for a year over the Big Branch mine disaster.

There’s also more fallout from the Panama Papers leak today, this time linking UK Prime Minister David Cameron to the sketchy tax avoidance schemes.

Thankfully, it is Friday, so the Stephanie Miller Show does recommend celebrating – just don’t do it by stealing a car and doing doughnuts on the freeway.

The Democratic race for President got a lot more dramatic yesterday. Starting with Bernie Sanders’ interview with the New York Daily News, where he repeated that he doesn’t believe victims of a gun crimes should be able to sue gun makers. Not surprisingly, Hillary Clinton was appalled at Sen. Sander’s answer. Clinton also said Sanders has been talking a lot about “things that he obviously hadn’t really studied,” and stated that Sanders, “by his own admission, has never even been a Democrat.”

A Washington Post story followed, with a headline that read, “Clinton questions whether Sanders is qualified to be president.” Then, Wednesday night, at a rally in Philadelphia, Sanders quoted what he’d thought Clinton said, “that she thinks that I am ‘not qualified to be president.’” That was when Sanders proceeded to blast Clinton saying “I don’t believe that she is qualified,” and listed a host of reasons why.

In other news, Voter ID appears to have created some serious voting problems – just as Wisconsin Republicans have admitted they wanted.

In New York, Republicans campaigned for president Wednesday, with Donald Trump getting a home state welcome, and Ted Cruz – infamous for bashing “New York values” got a resounding Bronx cheer.

Meanwhile, with the Panama Papers leak exposing more people and corporations trying to evade taxes, giant drug corporations Pfizer and Allergan decided not to merge, after President Obama tightened tax rules.

Politics could be rocky all over the world today, as the biggest pile of secret documents ever – The Panama Papers – was leaked overnight, exposing a global web of corruption and tax avoidance by some of the most powerful people in the world. Twelve world leaders, including Vladimir Putin are currently implicated, and with likely more to come.

Back in the U.S., Republican voters are still deeply divided, and not really liking any of their candidates. That became clear in North Dakota over the weekend, where all 25 GOP delegates chose to be ‘unassigned’ rather than bond themselves to any of the current top Republican candidates. News about Trump’s anger with his critics also leaked out overnight, even while several top members of Bernie Sanders campaign appear to be throwing in the towel, at least emotionally, according to a New York Times story.

Meanwhile, Camp Clinton seems to be focused on logic & facts, which is exactly what her supporters want. The fact-checkers from the NYTimes, WaPo, and NPR are also backing Clinton, over Sanders’ latest accusation of campaign donations from individuals working in the fossil fuels industry.

In the states, Democrats are fighting another new anti-LGBT bill in Mississippi, even while North Carolina’s version of a similar bill may cost that state billions. Both states should look to better examples in California and New York, where actions to increase the minimum wage to $15/hr were both successful over the weekend.

After his disastrous abortion comments on Wednesday, yesterday Donald Trump had a surprise meeting in DC with the RNC, like a kid getting called to the principal’s office. It really shouldn’t surprise anyone, considering more and more polling is showing Trump will likely be the least popular nominee for president in history.

Meanwhile, the media continued to attempt to gin up controversy on the Left, after Hillary Clinton was interrupted at a rally by Sanders extremists, and then confronted by a Greenpeace activist, with whom she got frustrated. What much of the media failed to note as loudly is that former President Clinton said on Thursday if Sanders becomes the presumptive nominee, Mr. Clinton will cast his superdelgate vote for Sanders.

While today may be April Fools Day, apparently, it’s no joke that Rupert Murdock’s former wife is now dating Vladimir Putin of Russia. Meanwhile, Caitlyn Jenner is now blasting Ted Cruz as “misinformed”, and at least one dog in Mississippi brought home a $1000 in pot this week. Hope your weekend is half as good.

While many have said it before, yesterday, Donald Trump may have truly aborted his chances to become president, with what’s probably the stupidest thing he’s said yet – which, considering the Trumpster fire his campaign has been, is an amazing feat of stupidity, worthy of his supporters. Every candidate for president in both major parties denounced Trump over the comments. Both Pro-choice and anti-choice groups of all kinds were united in saying Trump went too far.

Trump, however, made it even worse, saying the Geneva Conventions are a problem and like NATO should be abandoned. All of this was in the shadow of the 2016 world nuclear security summit in Washington, DC. It’s not a wonder, then, that major corporate sponsors are growing increasingly nervous about participating in this summer’s RNC convention.

Sadly, the Trumpster fire continued, with a 15 year old girl getting sexually assaulted at one Trump rally, while Speaker Paul Ryan got booed in his hometown at another Trump rally.

Meanwhile, the FDA has now made getting a drug-induced abortion easier. Speaking of drugs, President Obama commuted sentences for 61 non-violent drug offenders on Wednesday.

Anderson Cooper’s mom Gloria Vanderbuilt finally disclosed she’d once had a lesbian relationship. Meanwhile, Aaron Sorkin is bringing another new drama to NBC.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court handed down a win for Labor, and there may be another win coming this summer for advocates of the ACA and women’s health care. And speaking of Supreme Court wins, it seems the GOP blockade of President Obama’s nominee to SCOTUS is also crumbling.

The fight in North Carolina over an anti-LGBT law is also heating up, as execs from Bank of America have now joined execs from 80 other companies in calling out the bigotry.

Donald Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski was arrested Tuesday for assaulting a female reporter earlier in the year – and of course, Trump is standing behind him, fighting the charges. In a video released by police, however, it’s obvious Lewandowski is guilty. At a CNN town hall last night, both Cruz & Kasich said they would fire anyone on their staff who acted similarly.

All three Republican candidates also took the gloves off last night, making it clear they will not support each other, no matter which of them gets the nomination.

On the Democratic side, both Sanders and Clinton appear to be preparing for an April debate in Brooklyn. Meanwhile, Fmr. Sec. Clinton has already starting hitting Donald Trump in her latest ad.

A hijacked Egyptian plane overnight wasn’t another act of terrorism, but instead, an act of a man trying to make up with his ex-wife. Add that event to another non-terrorist shooting at the U.S. Capitol on Monday, which wounded the shooter and had DC on lockdown for a few hours.

In the U.S., Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal made up with worried businesses on Monday by vetoing the latest anti-LGBT bill to hit the states. Meanwhile, in North Carolina, that state is begining to get sued for their latest anti-LGBT bill.

With President Obama’s approval now at 53%, things are looking better than ever for Democrats this year. Some on the Left are still in a purist mindset, like actress Susan Sarandon, who made it clear last night that if her candidate Sen. Sanders doesn’t win, she might not vote for Hillary Clinton. Dan Savage, however, made it clear where most on the Left really are. #UniteBlue

Fmr. Sec. Clinton showed what she was really concerned with Monday, in a speech in Wisconsin, hitting Republicans over their continued delay in voting on President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee.

Meanwhile, Republican front-runner Donald Trump ran into a radio buzzsaw in Wisconsin on Monday, as a local host there finally did what most journalists won’t do – give Trump a real interview. The President even criticized the media Monday for being too soft on Trump.

Western states created some news over the weekend, with Bernie Sanders – or should we now call him BIRDIE Sanders – picking up strong caucus wins in Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii. Another plus for the west? California has now decided to make their minimum wage $15 an hour. One bad note, however – some Sanders supporters are making more noise than even that they won’t vote for Hillary Clinton if their candidate loses in the primary.

Meanwhile, Republicans were still setting fire to each other metaphorically, as Mexicans literally lit an effigy of Donald Trump to celebrate the burning of evil spirits at Easter. As Sec. Kerry confirmed, world leaders all over are shocked by Trump and the GOP rhetoric. Back in the U.S., Trump proved to more than one media outlet he has no idea of how world politics works, while Ted Cruz continued to knock down allegations of a sex scandal.

Overseas, terrorists struck again, this time an offshoot of the Taliban killing at least 65 people, mostly Christians, in an Easter celebration in Pakistan. The U.S. struck back at terrorists, killing the second in command of ISIS. Meanwhile, right-wing extremists protested immigrants in Brussels – even though none of those terrorists were immigrants.

Finally, in Connecticut, push parents caused a disaster at a holiday easter egg hunt, spoiling it for the kids.

In a panel discussion in L.A. on Thursday, former Sec. Hillary Clinton made it clear the level of sensationalism in or politics and media isn’t a trival thing.

Backlash is building against the anti-LGBT passed in North Carolina, as Google, IBM, American Airlines, Wells Fargo, the NBA, & NCAA all made it clear they may have to take some or all of their business to another state if the law holds up. Not to be outdone, Tennessee is currently arguing about their own anti-LGBT bathroom laws. Efforts in Georgia, Indiana and Kentucky to put bigotry into law are also ongoing. Meanwhile, South Dakota’s Republican Gov. Dennis Daugaard vetoed similar legislation this year.

Vice President Joe Biden confirmed in a speech on Thursday that there is no such thing as a ‘Biden rule’ regarding Supreme Court nominations, another hit to Senate Republican’s blockade of President Obama’s nomination. More Republican Senators continue to abandon Mitch McConnell, as Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) late on Thursday joined Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) in favoring hearings.

Just two days after the attacks in Brussels, and all the candidates for President are looking fairly presidential – except the two leading Republicans, Trump and Cruz. Last night, they had another childish fight on Twitter. If you thought Donald Trump might be chastened after Heidi Cruz smacked him back yesterday, you’d be wrong. Oh sure, Trump says he’s smarter than everybody based on “certain results that I get in doing things.” Last time I checked, “doin’ things” doesn’t really rank highly as an IQ score.

Meanwhile, both President Obama and Secretary Clinton were giving lessons in how to handle counterterrorism yesterday. Obama was reminding Argentinians that the best way to defeat terrorism was reflected in how America acted after the Boston bombings. He also explained that dealing with Congress is like herding cats – though we think some cats are smarter than others in Congress.

Speaking of Congress, Speaker Paul Ryan gave a pretty amazing speech to the House interns yesterday, even admitting he was wrong about his “makers & takers” rhetoric from a few years ago.

Maybe Mr. Ryan could do more than just give a good speech though, by pushing Congress to renew the Voting Rights Act, since voting in Arizona this week was a particular example of how not having the VRA could take away some of American’s most basic rights.

Which, by the way, is what North Carolina just did to LGBT Americans last night, when their Republican governor signed a bill to allow serious discrimination against any member of the LGBT community.

We might suggest Superman come save the day, but his new movie is crap, so he’s got problems of his own.

The Brussels bombing investigation & manhunt continues. The two dead suicide bombers were identified as brothers, Belgian nationals, raised in Belgium, who were known to authorities & had previous criminal records. The third bomber, now the subject of a manhunt, also appears to be a Belgian national — meaning NONE of the attackers were refugees or recent immigrants.

President Obama got blasted by some on the right for not rushing back home after the bombings in Belgium, but as he told reporters at the international baseball game, the only thing terrorists can do, “is scare, and make people afraid, and disrupt our daily lives, and divide us. As long as we don’t allow that to happen, we’re going to be ok.” The Tampa Bay Rays won the game, 4-1 over the Cuban national team. President Obama and his family have already continued on to their next stop, Argentina.

Hillary Clinton Wins A Resounding Victory In South Carolina-Her opponent, Bernie Sanders, had struggled to pick up enough support among black voters in the primary. Hillary Clinton won the Palmetto State’s Democratic presidential contest on Saturday, defeating Sen. Protester clashes with Bill Clinton over Benghazi attacks. Former President Bill Clinton got into a heated exchange with a protester over the 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.”We had four lives that were killed at Benghazi, and your wife tried to cover it up,” the protester said. The protester, who claimed to be a former Marine, confronted the former president at a campaign rally for Hillary Clinton in South Carolina and launched into a speech accusing Hillary Clinton of covering up the attacks.
