Happy Friday, everyone!  David Bender continues to fill in for Steph and the Mooks.  Today, David’s guests will be Mark Walsh of Left Jab on Sirius/XM, Professor Robert Fellmeth of the University of San Diego, and Environmental leader / senior attorny for the Natural Resources Defense Council Robert Kennedy Jr. or Ring of Fire Radio!  And, as always, David will be taking your calls at 1-800-STEPH-1-2.

On Thursday or Friday, David Bender made a comment that basically inferred Rush Limbaugh is kinda an empty shell - something like his soul long ago left his body... or something to that effect.

It rang a bell with me, too, since long ago (in 2006 even!) I wrote a post titled "The hollow depths of an empty body" - after Rush's attacks on people with Parkinson's disease like Michael J Fox - which essentially ended with that very point.   Reading it after all these years, I see that Rush hasn't changed a bit. And his poor, tortured soul is still begging for escape from the horrific human to which it still, sadly, remains tethered.

Bye everybody! Good job, Bendy. Can't wait for Mondee!

Well, have a good weekend.  I might even tune in on Monday to find out the "big news".

MikeTheLiberal 10 pts

Always good to hear RFK Jr.  And he's right; religion and government should not be mixed.

BREAKING: Rush Limbaugh has volunteered to film his own sex life and send it to anyone who wants insurance to cover contraception.Seems redundant to me.

MikeTheLiberal 10 pts

Klassie How much do I have to pay to NOT get that film?  :)

Klassie 30 pts

MikeTheLiberal send him a sample of the aspirin you're using instead

David Bender is a gem without rough edges. He makes his points with polish and civility, and he knows what he's talking about. At the end of the perpetually crazy political day, he helps you understand there's a tomorrow. Whenever Stephanie needs a break, David is always welcome.

Quick hello to everyone, I've been missing Steph something fierce since my PC needed servicing.

Klassie 30 pts

hi back! we had a seagull in here for awhile, but not  THE HAWK!

Somebody on the liveblog 9 pts

Did I hear Tommy Smartpants say his time slot is moving? Does that have anyting to do with Steph's "Big News"?

Somebody on the liveblog 9 pts

Maybe I was dreaming when I heard that. Just like I dreamt I heard Breitbart died.

Klassie 30 pts

Somebody on the liveblog Thom said it had something to do with he and Ed Schultz broadcasting at the same time,

Somebody on the liveblog 9 pts

@Klassie So what does that mean for Randi, Molloy and the rest of the lineup? Is everybody switching around?

Klassie 30 pts

Somebody on the liveblog  Klassie sorry, dunno

Somebody on the liveblog 9 pts

@Klassie You know more than I do and I appreciate that.

Klassie 30 pts

Good morning. I got my Mike Malloy catharsis last night. He made NO BONES about his feelings about the death of Breitbart. Gotta say, truth is refreshing, if not always "proper".

Meeting time - blargh.  Should be back before the end of the show.

MikeTheLiberal 10 pts

Back; only a short meeting, and now can listen for the rest of the show!

Sorry, David, you used the term legacy for the Breitbart passing; I don't believe a fellow like this leaves a legacy--that's too lofty. What he left is detritus. You can talk about him with sympathy--I can live with that; but let's not forget the crap he has left for us to clean up.

Have a good weekend, happy clappys.  ...and we'll have to leave it there! (Blitzer voice)

Kim out!

juliet bravo 42 pts

Great Porky Pig imitation there, Mitt - bedeebedeebedeep, I misunderstood the questions, folks!

Ugh.  Speaking of contraception, I'm heading to my old stomping grounds this weekend, which is very Republican.  Boner's Daddy's Tavern territory, actually.  Should be interesting.  Wonder what dog whistle topics they'll throw around.  Any guesses I should anticipate?  Besides...Obama and Zbiginew Brezenzski trying to implant us all with robot chips from the space station?

juliet bravo 42 pts

rifletotingliberal Well, the video's 3 years old, but the talking points haven't changed since Sam Seder's Thanksgiving with Rightwing Relatives tutorial:

rifletotingliberal Well, no question they're going to lead with Gas Prices Are Too Damn High, with a side order of Iran. But you might want to be prepared for either an Ayers/Resko/Alynsky Gish Gallop or the more brute-force Fast-n-Furious/Solyndra one-two punch.

Happy Friday Livefyres - Interesting how Hour One of Mike Malloy's podcast from last PM is missing this AM. He made some rather salient but apt comments about Breitbart and the Pigman (Rush) that somehow aren't available anymore. I wonder if it's some sort of self-censorship or if someone else had their hands in it. The Pigman thinking that someone's sending him bombs . . . little paranoid, hun Rush-O? Think the a-hole is skeeeered! Think he'll show up for his show today? Rocker Jon Bon Jovi is the big Five-OH, James Bond actor Daniel Craig is 44, talented young actress and Ron's daughter Bryce Dallas Howard is 31, former President Mikhail Gorbachev and writer Tom Wolfe are both 82, rocker Lou Reed is the big Seven-OH, rocker Eddie Money is 63, actress Molly Cheek is 62, SNLs Original Caster Laraine Newman is the big Six-OH, Osmond brother Jay is 57 and AJ Soprano actor Robert Iler is 27. Happy Birthdays Pisces!

Round-heeled?  Jeepers, Rush is round-everything-ed

Speaking of food, Sam Seder had a great interview with Tracie McMillian, author of "The American Way of Eating:  Undercover at Walmart, Applebee's, Farm Fields and the Dinner Table".  It will definitely put you on a diet, or inspire you to buy a CSA at your local farm (which we've been happily doing for several years).

Too many In and Out Burgers would be rather effective contraception, at that   :-D

MikeTheLiberal 10 pts

Happy Friday!

Don't forget, julilet, that you can use your contraception.  At least for now.

juliet bravo 42 pts

MikeTheLiberal I can use my contraption, eh!  By cracky!

juliet bravo 42 pts

Gooooood morning, R.T. Liberal and Livefyrebloggers at large!

I've got the usual Friday morning meeting fest, so I'll be in and out. (which makes me inexplicably hungry for burgers...)   Great lineup today on environmental issues.

About a week behind, listening to Stephcast files at work...the "trees are just tall enough" is great.  What a dip.  Haha.

rifletotingliberal I love "not just the Great Lake, but all the little lakes spread throughout the... parts of Michigan." ROTFLMAO. "Parts!"
