Between Newt dropping the god/jesus bomb every 5 minutes and the Iowa Family Leader essentially saying that if you ask for forgiveness enough you're on par with the lifelong non-philanderer, I have all the evidence I need to remain a commited religious cynic. The Herman Cain story is becoming something akin to poetry, beyond the Biblical, mythological symbolism of his name, bless his heart. Now the aptly named Ginger White has come forward to reveal her 13 year affair with Mr. Cain, who commented that Mrs. Cain upon hearing the news remarked, "Oh no, not again" - interesting choice of words.

Then the irony - Cain's spokesman trying to shut down further inquiry by saying, "No individual, whether a private citizen, a candidate for public office or a pubic official, should be questioned about his or her private sexual life....The public's right to know and the media's right to report has boundaries and most certainly those boundaries end outside of one's bedroom door."

So if Bill Clinton had just kept his frolicking in his own bedroom, apparently, the Republicans would have declared hands off? Sure. And surely this philosophy applies to gays in the military? No hypocrisy there, right?
