I want to comment as a lesbian and listener of this great show. The discussion Friday included comment about the protesters on Wall Street and how they didn't appear to represent the "average" young adult (e.g., the topless protester gets the publicity) and therefore it can be difficult to take them seriously. I feel the same way about Gay Pride events. If we want to "sit at the grownup table" and have marriage, adoption, and military rights (which we deserve) we must be aware of our actions to those on the outside looking in. I would much prefer to see our community and supporters MARCH than make a spectacle.
On a related topic, I have been a member of a credit union for many years and my partner just withdrew all of her money from her B of A accounts and deposited the funds in a credit union. We vote everyday with our money and I believe a loud statement would be for others to put their money in their local CU and keep the money LOCAL! :)

When are you coming to west palm beach to help Rush explode as the last over the hill liberal in florida we can use a visit

Meeting time - have a great weekend, y'all!

#2 Dannybob, Yes, we're starting to see the fall colors on the East Coast too.

#3 l.c., Exactly right, and several protesters made that point in the video I linked to above.

As to specific demands, the fact of the protest is the point, the medium is the message. It's not Occupy Central Park, or even Occupy Zuccotti Park/Liberty Square. It's Occupy Wall Street.

Great opening music - it would be great to get Krist Novoselic on the show!

The Occupy Wall Street crowd needs to focus on taking the money out of politics. Everything flows from that. MoveToAmend.org!!!
