• Comedian Aisha Tyler joins us in the Los Angeles Bureau at 9am ET / 6am PT for another edition of “Tuesdays With Tyler”

David Bender, author and political consultant, joins us at 9:30am ET / 6:30am PT to talk about the effects of the Weiner scandal on the Dem Party

Charlie Pierce, “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me” panelist and Boston Globe writer, calls in at 10:30am ET / 7:30am PT to talk about the Anthony Weiner scandal.

• After days of denials, a choked-up Rep. Anthony Weiner confessed Monday that he tweeted a photo of his bulging underpants to a young woman, and he also admitted to online exchanges with several women. He apologized for lying but said he would not resign.

• Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, once the No. 3 Republican in the Senate, said Monday he’s seeking the GOP nomination for president to protect American freedoms under threat from President Barack Obama.

Prosecutors have obtained emails between John Edwards and a former aide to use as evidence at trial that he knew about payments to his pregnant mistress even while he was publicly denying it.

• In a general-election trial heat in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll Mitt Romney runs evenly with Barack Obama among all Americans, and numerically outpoints him, 49-46 percent, among registered voters.

I love you Stephanie, but today's show was sooo boring. It seemed the show was all about promoting the Sexy Liberal show venues, about Aisha Tyler (I like her and think she is funny, but enough is enough) performing at a couple of the SLS with you and John, and Anthony Wiener's wiener. I had to change the station after the 2nd hour, I couldn't bring myself to listen to the last hour. Hopefully your radio show will not become three hours of promoting your traveling road show. You'll will lose listeners, including me.

BTW - the BEST alcoholic cake I've ever had - a Black Russian Cake. The recipe can be found on the interwebs, look for Intercourses, cooking with aphrodisiacs. It's absoultely delicious! Thought you might like to know about it before September, so you might know what to ask the "Official Cake Baker of the Stephanie Miller Show" (whoever that might be) to bake for your b-day! Blending both cake and liquor into something absolutely delightful! Enjoy!

Late update: RNC Chair Reince Priebus says Anthony Weiner should resign for having a funny name.

Weiner photo: one question, Nathans or Plumber ?

Morning all...

Hear that Mark? A Motortown clue!

Was listening to a right wing radio host,
who had a great line, which seems like it
might have been stollen from your term
for the current Speaker Of The House:

"We got to see a photo of Weiner's Boehner"

Anyone else having trouble with this website? It's been giving me agita this morning, "failed to open page" messages and such. Same thing happened one day last week.

I don't have a problem throwing John Edwards or even Anthony Weiner under the bus when they fail to come clean promptly and in a forthright manner.

I do have a problem that only Democrats are being prosecuted - as safe targets because they are "lefties" - by various authorities. The PAC thing with Edwards is indicative. Some other people who have abused PAC funds include Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell, for starters, with no accountability.

And while misuse of funds is serious, and pretty easy to trace and prove, how about revealing the identity of a CIA agent? Anyone interested in investigating or prosecuting the Valerie Plame affair? Anyone? Bueller?

Meeting time, see y'all tomorrow :-)

"Jim Lad" and "Matey", the faux pirate and faux parrot of the benighted PSAs that run on UStream in place of paid ads, give me the heebie-jeebies.

Thank God for Shane-O's spots for the Sexy Liberal Show!

Good morning, intrepid livebloggers!

#1 Tim, Exactly right - the Rude Pundit and John Fugelsang called it last Friday when they said, look, just come clean, your district doesn't care, the major damage is from your equivocation.

It does show an incredible lack of judgment, but you're always better off saying, yes, it was stupid, what was I thinking? But no taxpayers were harmed, unlike Clarence Thomas's conflict of interest on health care cases...

Oh, and I forgot to say, I guess it's a good thing Mitt can't win a primary, since it looks like he might actually be a little bit of a threat to Obama.

If I ever become a politician I will immediately own up to stuff like that. They'll find evidence that I've solicited adult-themed anthropomorphic art and I'll say 'Yeah that was me. So?' That kind of honesty doesn't normally get you elected, unfortunately.

Happy Tuesday Tim, and everyone who still replies here. Aisha's here - time for the show to run itself off the rails.

Loved Mike's comment last night comparing Brightbart to a houndog that sniffs underwear.

Artist formerly known as Prince turns 53 today, Tennis' Anna Kournikova is the big Three-OH, singer Tom Jones is 71, Eddie Haskell Officer Ken Osmond is 68, Born Free actress Virginia McKenna is the big Eight-OH, poetess Nikki Giovanni is 68, actor Liam Neeson is 59, SNLs Bill Hader turns 33 and actor Michael Cera is 23. Happy Birthdays Geminis!

Representative Actually My Weiner has managed to maximize the impact of his indiscretions by his earlier media blitz of partial denials. The only thing that keeps him from looking like the biggest (photo topic) in this story are the Breitbart and Company scumbags that coordinated the attack. If only Weiner had followed this rule of the digital age: A person should not email lewd photos of themselves to someone they don't know extremely well, as Stephanie has warned me several times.

I hope I remember to delete that last phrase before I post this comment.

Whoops.
