I understand Trump wants to see Osama's death certificate. And not the short form

Watch out for teabaggers at you shows, Steph. they'll be the ones with spit and venom on their overalls. BUT I KID!!!

Hef and mouth disease anyone?

Who said Schwartz has a body like a condom full of walnuts?

41. They hunger for someone who can slap down Boehner et al. That won't work in long run though.

#10: "They should have used GotoMeeting for the last supper."

Shoulda used Godtomeeting - that story could have used some Deus ex Machina.

Before you give Gov Jan Brewer credit for vetoing those 2 insane bills, know that she did sign into law something that mandates that married heterosexual couples be given first priority when placing kids into foster care or adoptive families. (SB 1188)

Put Trump in a dunk tank and let's see that head wet. Then we can talk.

From the New York Times: David Brooks writes, "Many people regard Trump as a joke and his popularity a disgrace. But he is actually riding a deep public fantasy: The hunger for the ultimate blowhard who can lead us through dark times."

oh puhleease, don't trigger the dog talk

#37: There's a memo going out to NBC security with Steph's photo on it.

#18: "I hope that last caller made his $100+ by staying on the air so long."

These knucklehead calls are a huge waste of time. (Huuge!) Ask the moron a simple question: Who What When Where Why. Who was violent to whom, when and where and to what purpose? If the best he can come up with is "I saw it on the FoxNews", play him out with a toilet flush sound effect and move on to the next item. No point in bombarding him with confusing questions, just move on.

Bad dog: no bonus, no donut.

Somewhere, a restraining order is being written...

"I have things I have to do in LA"

So do I, and I live here.

What's that echo I hear? Is that the sound of Steph's newly reactivated womb expanding to make room for a little Lawrence O’Donnell Jr.?

Lawrence, be careful. She has a gay ray. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

oops.. typo..

I meant Trump/Beck in 2013!

#27: Trump and Gaga and Ted and Alice.

Bachmann/Palin in '12!
Trump/Trump in '13!

Aw, knew it couldn't last.. ;->

Wow, I really prefer Stephie doing her sound bites during the hourly break to the meth guitar "Wild Thing" rendition!

Trump desperately needs a serious ass beating..

Trump will be given a hotel in Libya to get him out of the race.

my one friend from the rally said that he just kept blowing his horn while the rally was going on and palin was trying to talk. the tea baggers said, "be quiet, let her talk, you know, free speech." my friend said, "yep, free speech..." and then blew his horn again.

these tea baggers actually attacked people who had bells and drums and other noise makers. actually physically touched the lib/dems to try to take away their stuff. but the police stepped in from what i heard.

I wonder if Faux Noise showed footage from the massive anti-Walker protests in Madison to make their Tea Party rally look bigger.

Hug a teabagger today. That's what they really want.

Morning liveblog! Nice to hear Obama's voice of sanity in the morning.

Obama's microphone sounds like it's positioned right by a calvert.

Morning all.......

That Orange County Republican woman probably has a special mailing list for forwarding racist jokes about Obama, a mailing list that _excludes_ her black friend(s). Kind of a "Whites Only" list.

I hope that last caller made his $100+ by staying on the air so long.

there was no violence on the democratic side, it was the tea baggers who were very violent and tried to push people around. there were also two people there with guns on them and unfortunately they were not arrested.

there were about 200 people for the tea baggers and about 6000 people on the lib/dem sides.

people reported that the tea baggers were very ugly, swearing at everyone and anyone. they pushed people and threatened people.

i have been at almost every rally, especially the rally with over 100K people. no arrests, no arguments and no swearing. it was all really polite and supportive of all people there. and on that day i saw and other people i talked to, did not see one opposition person there.

tea baggers and opponents of these rallies only come when they are paid to come. it is really sad.

these rallies have been some of the most interesting and historical gatherings of people without violence while protesting against a "king" in the gov house of Wisconsin.

feel free to contact me for any information on this.

@renazantz

thanks

Sarah Palin should be silenced. Not for what she is saying, but for that horrible screechy voice..

Caller is an ignoramus.. typically Tea Party stooge, perfect Fox News fan..

Good morning, Mookies! Hello from sunny southern New Mexico, where we have our share of ignorant right wing stooges as well.

Meeting time - have a great day, y'all!

So any time a Teabagger is challenged in an interview on why they weren't out there screaming when Bush was running up the debt and running the economy into the ground, they always say they were angry then too. They always say this "movement" isn't about Obama and they're not just anti-Democrat.

Well at least Sarah Palin now admits the Tea Party is all about being anti-Obama. Perhaps her first honest statement ever.

Crazy-eyes Bachman's (OMG, it REPRODUCED?) son Playgirl Pinup?

#2, 2 I totally agree, last week's budget vote confirmed for anyone who was paying attention that John Boehner does not need Tea Party votes, he's just using them as a straw man to force negotiations rightward. D'ya think??

OOPS sorry, did it again. Good morning all.

This is a post I just wrote on HuffPo with regard to Amanda Terkel's article:

"John Boehner: Justice Department Should Pay House GOP To Uphold Defense Of Marriage Act"

The GOP is to governing as the WWF is to sport.

Amanda Terkel is missing out on the real implication - if sanctioned - of this action. If the GOP manage to get their way then it sets a precedent, i.e. opens the door, for achieving their real aim which is the overturning of Roe vs. Wade.

Don't worry gentle reader, you don't have to put on your tinfoil hat.

Nebraska passed a blatantly unconstitutional anti-abortion law which bans abortions after the first trimester. Other even more restrictive laws in Republican controlled states - most notably Ohio - are pending.

Pro choice groups and Obama Administration are not pursuing these prima facia illegal pieces of legislation in the courts because of the Republican majority of the Supreme Court (with Justice Kennedy representing a very dim light at the end of a very dark tunnel). So the Nebraska law stands because where there is no plaintiff there is no judge.

If the matter is taken up in Federal Court then it is on a fast-track to SCROTUS (Supreme Court Republicans of the United States).

If Boehner gets his way with DOMA then the GOP can open sham legal proceedings in the name of the US Government with established standing in challenging the constitutionality of the Nebraska anti-abortion law. This would not be a case of "good GOP against bad GOP", it would be a way of putting abortion law on the Supreme Court docket once again.

Good morning, livebloggers at large!

I have a crazy work week and will probably have to content myself with podcasting and the occasional driveby post :-(

Yesterday's show had a great quote from the Rude Pundit: "How many times can we hop on the train to Hopeville only to realize it ain't leaving the station?"

My criticism of the argument that Obama had to trade extending the Bush tax cuts in order to preserve middle class tax cuts and extend unemployment benefits is that it implies parity. In fact, that "deal" was more akin to Jack trading a very large cow for five tiny magic beans -- a really, really uneven trade. While I am hopeful that "campaigning Obama" will pull a little left of where he is, which is solidly right of center, we have to face the fact that Obama has many skills but he is a terrible, really bad negotiator. Face facts and do what we can to shore up that Achilles heel, or at least call it like it is.
