• The occupation of the Wisconsin Capitol by protesters fighting efforts to strip public workers of union bargaining rights carried on Sunday after police decided not to forcibly remove demonstrators and end a nearly 2-week-long sit-in.

Congress is moving towards a deal to avoid a government shutdown–at least for the short term. Democrats say they are “encouraged” by reports about the short term spending bill that House Republicans are expected to pass and send to the Senate on Tuesday.

when did Dennis Miller turn into such a conservative ass-hat??

Goodbye weedwhackers and kochblockers, have a day! And remember: DFTT.

I would bite someone over a Thin Mint

Steph:

"The vapors" is "the farts".

Next they'll have a French maid at the WH. ha ha.

#5: I'm glad "Inside Job" won an Oscar, but I wish "Gasland" could have gotten a little more exposure. Fracking: coming to a watershed near you!

Speaking of exposure, is it just me or did the Technical Oscars get extremely short shrift this year? I mean: a little FX montage, a group photo with Melissa Leo, and a snide reference to nerds by James Franco? Shame. They deserve better.

Steph, you could teach Max and Fred some tricks and go on "The Arena"

Good luck Steph. Just got back from visiting mine....oy.

Edie!! You're probably right...

me too on the fangs steph!

BREAKING: Koch brothers are illegtimate sons of Ayn Rand and Satan

#53 - the hypocrisy on the right is mind blowing. It's infuriating to know that Isa is going after b.s. (and guilty of a few crimes of his own) while true white collar criminals (bush, cheney, rice, rumsfeld) are walking around free.

The Media and the Right all but FORCED Democrats to promise "not to impeach President Bush" over ACTUAL WAR CRIMES if they became the majority, and Pelosi foolishly agreed.

Meanwhile, as soon as Republicans take the House, they *immediately* start talking about "impeachment" over frivolous nonsense, and no one in the Media says "Boo".

TAVERN!!!

hey boner - where's the jobs??

ha ha - I remember who it was

#33, #37: You can't enlighten a black hole. ;-)

David Sirota opined today that the anti-union tactics of Republicans is because unions are the last remaining barrier to total corporate control.

Rename "Americans for Prosperity" to "Americans for Posterior!!!"

Shun a Wanker today if you see him.

FUN FACTS:

1) Over the last 2 years Wisconsin State workers have already taken a 3% pay cut in the form of mandatory unpaid furlogh days. This doesn't seem to be mentioned very much.

2) Wisconsin State workers pay taxes. Which means they are paying into part of their own salary. How f-ed up is that?

Repugs have to cheat to "win".

#40 - it's probably expensive to produce as are most organic and chemical free products. It does work though....

#34: I ended up having to buy some Cedarcide. I put if off for a bit too long because nothing else worked.

Roach/Ant spray has no effect. Flea spray works a little, but you have to use a lot. Damn things are resistant to everything short of physically squashing them with your finger. (Bite worse than fireants).

At $44 a quart (after P&H and tax), Cedarcide could quadruple their sales if they cut the price in half. :(

#33 - at this point, one can't even be certain that the "T" in question is even a real person, and not a literal "conserva-BOT" designed to harrass, annoy, and/or attempt to affect consensus... Even if "real", the "responses" make it pretty clear that no light's gonna shine in there any time soon...

:(

Ahhh... speaking of houses, some Girl Scouts thought they were headed to... the Big One:

a scarab, perhaps?

bed bugs can survive 1000 times the poison that will kill a traditional bug? What is a "traditional bug?"

#31 - agreed, but sometimes you have to try and let a little light in.

I dont want Social Security, I would much rather have my money now! they should offer me a buyout to get out of the system.

Oh... and DNFT, folks!

;^)

And... maybe Mama can contact this guy to do a makeover on her digs:

Yeah because we know that there are no conservatives collecting unemployment, retirement or social security.

Right.

LITTLE BETTER THAN CLEVER THANK YOU I am an artist lol

#19 - really Weed? Bill O'Reilly and something from 2009? That's your "proof?"

Thought you had to go "pay taxes". You're probably collecting unemployment.

#17:

Proof of what? Conservatives are capable of clever editing?

They should change it to Spitzer Blitzer

Wow. That "snow" reference went WAY over Steph's and Chris' heads...

arguing does no good with mentally deficient people you have to give the proof!
