McCain is like the Republicans' Joe Lieberman [douche], once useful as a someone kinda between the parties on some major issues, but now he's alot more trouble than he's worth and embarrassment all 'round.

Has anyone noticed that "Scott from Massachusetts" started calling all the progressive talk radio shows around the same time that "Reverend Dan" stopped? Could they be the same person?

Shout-out and book prize for "Mad cabbie Jan" on the Tommy Smartpants show. Isn't that our own Jan of Loui'ville, formerly Madison?

314: i regret tormenting him so much. - but it wasnt about his sexuality; i swear i thott he was a curly fan.

hmmm.... that's very suspicious. robobagpiper is suddenly studying how to play mini-kiss songs. pasta la pizza.

277---In high school one of my very good friends was rumored to be gay/bi and I was so naive I didn't understand it. All I knew is that he was one of the most talented, kindest, funniest and smartest kids in our school and he had a lot of trouble feeling safe in school. His dad was an ultra-conservative Christian who is probably still praying to this day that his son, who is now 51, will change.

I was very naive in those days but I felt great sympathy for what this young man went through. He survived and thrived in spite of it all. But he also moved far away to a place that felt safer for him.

312: i like shemp, but that's not what makes curly wrong. he's just wrong. he just is.

#276, again, you're telling me why you dislike the ruling, not why it's Constitutionally wrong.

Lots of people dislike Roe and Heller; that doesn't make them wrongly decided.

Congrats, Ivan! :D

Be well everybody! See you next time!

Buh Bye!

306: there are no black people or white people in the army.

fabulous lime green is the new dark green.

Buh bye beloved Bloggos! Hasta manana!

Congrats Ivan!

Toodle-pipsky all!

Whew!Ivan brings it home! G'day everybody.

Military's looking a little pink if you catch my meaning.

Once upon a time that would read as "dark".

And Ivan with the magic last name Louise gets it! I think I need to add Louise to my name.

Huh huh huhh huhh.. I reveal My Inner Self (tm) to My Inner Self (tm) in a recursive manner..

Missed it by that much. Happy Sparta Ivan!

277 -- I grew up in very conservative small towns in the southwest. I didn't completely understand what was going on with me: Like many transwomen, I thought I must be gay. I feel so much sympathy for anyone differently gendered or oriented who grew up in that situation. Trust me, I'm scarred.

258: "According to the story bible, it’s a room-temperature superconductor. Which would be pretty damned impressive of a discovery."

269---Thank you. I should have just looked it up shouldn't I have? I look up everything else.

274 -- I did tae those Rush lyrics as serendipitously describing the other Rush

#250 On problem for me is that I grew up in a community with essentially ZERO gays who were out, so we had no way of knowing that some of the people I liked and admired so much were in fact closeted gays.

My son is growing up in the same town, but it's a different world now with with openly gay people at every turn. And to his credit [and maybe his parents too, I hope] he doesn't seem to have a single homophobic or racist cell in his body.

Sorry, but the corporations aren't citizens. They (and the unions) should be completely excluded from political campaigns and issues. Free speech == dollars, my ass.

235: "he gets high on you and the space he invades he gets by on you."

TODAY's tom sawyer ? - actually he gets high on weather prognostication. in the space he invades, he gets high on mushrooms.

270 -- Don't tell me what?
