224: the irony is, i was totally in my element.

218: yeah, i get that same dream sometimes.

213: "wonder if Steph makes him eat with the dogs and Jesus the gardener"

yo quiero taco heaven. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvZPGJ_kUp8

152: reminds me of that time steph mistook the pillsbury doughboy for the auto-pilot.

133: "he surely took some ass whippins in high school."

unfortunately, that happens. youda thunk it was just bullies being bullies, but no.... the impressive part is that sean managed to get very civilized erudite people in college to react in the same fashion.

123: cut ollie north some slacks. i know he looms too large in the public eye, but he meant to say it's a tapestry.

117: "so wanna see Pat Robertson with his face buried in a giant glue trap"

stop it. you're getting stephage all hot and sticky.

112: "Pat you’ll be first up against the wall…or the first to raise the banner accepting the new overlords."

house negro / field negro / bower negro. know the difference.

104: "Which will be the first Army battalion to paint the Christan cross in red on their armour?"

not really necessary. plenty of people in war zones fire on the red cross who are there to try to save lives of innocents.

103: "Dobbs in space – any illegals there? "
it doesnt take a subgenius to see that bob may be an alien. - that hypernoid robot was always warning about "alien approaching".
- this was stage 1 of gulf wars 5 and 6 - dude ! you're the alien.

99: "Vince denofrio to play Dr Hasan in Full Mental Jacket"

a reprise of "steal this movie". - "i be off, mann".

and by the way, the guest was wrong; we DO know what was on charles manson's mind motivating the helter skelter opening act. i just checked the red letter edition. that dude was / is tottally hyped on bing crosby music.
"hoot mon, where do you go .... who do you think you are ..."
they just dont write them like that any more.

a huge kudos upon pat robertson. - that description of air force squadron 523 was right on the money.

94: "Fundamentalist ANYTHING is a major problem."

not quite. when the fundamentalist mormons, hopped up on V8 splash, and tuned in to the best of the bay city rollers went crashing their bikes into a mountain to quell the evil of caffeine, it was more cute than problematic. even their eddie bauer kamikaze headbands were cute.

If you are interested in this subject, go find a "This American Life" show where they interviewed a failed suicide bomber.

She was clearly suffering from serious depression when she was recruited. Now that she has recovered, she really regrets what she tried to do but is spending the rest of her life in an Israeli prison.

I dedicate this Leonidas Cup to our Vets and active duty women and men. Thank You.

And with that, have a great day, everyone!

Have a great day, guys. Can't really say "Happy Veterans Day", so how about have a thoughtful Remembrance Day....

G'day all! Let's start really taking care of our veterans starting NOW!

And with that, good day everyone!

Congrats to Shaf! I bow to your Spartanosity :-D

SPARTA!!

I'm getting paid not to work today. Thank you Veterans.

Spartanamos!

sparta dammit?

A number of atheists I know would disagree with Hal... they use these crazy extreme examples of religion as an indictment of all religion and faith.

so close yet so far.

Buh bye, BloggenMooksters! Happy hump day..

See ya manana.

Don't you ever change a thing!

#289 Yep. The 'professional' terrorist convinces the amateurs to sacrifice their lives to the cause.

#272: "Big Country? Really, Chris?"

Every week, Nick, where have you been? As for meself, today I would have preferred "Veteran's Day Poppy" by Captain Beefheart. If only the Show had music intern or a bigger jukebox.

No Sparta?

Bye all!

... and I also am convinced that most suicide bombers are mentally ill too. Maybe not their handlers, but the actual bombers.

I say this as a religious person, myself. For me, religion is a very positive thing but if I got some mental illness, it could go bad. I don't deny that. In fact, I think it is healthy to understand it.

Hey! I have a walkie talkie now!

My family finds them exceptionally useful in those big box stores! Much better than a cell phone.

#277 Mental illness and religion? That's been the combination for Elizabeth Smart and Jaycee Duggard's kidnappers. And Charlie Manson.

Poor Donald, I almost feel sorry for him... NOT!

Steph on a talk show with her box would KILL on TV.

270. Crist is lithe, so I'm picking him for the top.

Am I the only one who has no problem believing that this shooting could be about BOTH radical religion AND about mental illness.

This is how I understand the issue -- that it is common for violently mentally ill people to also have crazy religious thoughts.

I guess holding those two thought together is too complicated for conservative talk radio (or maybe talk radio in general.)

Illusion of freedom - women wore miniskirts in public in Kabul in the 1970s.

#269 That might be a good thing for the area. If the museum takes off that means tourism related industries could take off as well. Jobs are good.
