rudepunditThe Rude Pundit (Lee Papa) calls in at 6:30am Pacific for rudeness about this weekend’s “tea party” in Washington, DC, and Rep. Wilson’s outburst at last week’s Obama speech.

PierceCharlie Pierce, author of “Idiot America,” calls in at 7:30am Pacific to tell us why stupidity has become a virtue in America today.

President Obama will try today to revive a stalled push for stricter oversight of Wall Street. Obama’s economic address in New York will also discuss plans to unwind the government’s involvement in the financial sector and call upon Wall Street firms to take responsibility and avoid reckless behavior.

One apology is enough, a digging-in-his-heels Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) said yesterday, challenging Dem leaders who want him to say on the house floor that he’s sorry for yelling “You lie!” during President Obama’s health care speech.

• Senate Armed Services Chairman Carl Levin (D-Mich) said Friday that the Obama administration shouldn’t send more U.S. combat troops to Afghanistan until it has worked first to boost the Afghan security forces. While other Dems are expressing doubt about sending more troops into Afghanistan, GOP-ers are backing Obama’s expected troop increase.

• An audio message purportedly from Al Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has accused President Obama of being unable to fulfill his election pledge to pull U.S. troops out of Iraq.

Where oh where is the podcast today?

Bye all! Never thought SMS would be an island of sanity. Who knew?

Alrighty then, you guys!

I'm signing off for the day, and doing some other valuable stuff. Be well & be happy.

Buh Bye, Bloggoes!

richard cheney post at 187. is that killer or what.

Voiceprint mapping, Jim, means you'll get paid every time your shows air (here's hoping :-) )

Bye all.

180: "you might have heard that i run with al quaeda. we aint too pretty. we aint too proud." - richard cheney

185 -- Thanks for the well wishes, Ivan, but things are changing around here! :D

Yes, that's ~3x10^8 m/s.. 186,300 miles per second.

Buh bye, Bloggsters! Don't you ever change a thing!

Bin Laden lives on in Dick Cheney

Earl Scruggs is from North Carolina. Duh.

179. Over time and with more and more people involved, they will. We can turn away from corporate culture and still live a good life.

#148: (miles, not meters)

"I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints"
Billy Joel

172 -- consumer boycotts hardly ever work.

The media-nutbag coalition will eventually burn out as people get sick of it, or they'll jump the shark (hopefully not in a violent way) and turn people off.

174: they may not have been ignoring it at all. most people would realize immediately that something called "tractorcade" is a high protein beverage supplement with taurine, cyanocobalamin, and glucose, available at many fine retail outlets.

the shroud of Turin was made of pterodactyl skin

171: what you talkin bout, wallace ?

The media have been pretty good at ignoring protesters, well, forever! I remember I had relatives that participated in the massive "Tractorcade" circa 1977 comprised of farmers protesting agricultural descending on Washington. It was HUGE with guys in big tractors circling around the National Mall. But when I opened up Newsweek to read about it, it was a little blurb way back in the middle of the magazine, right below and smaller than a story on Jackie Onassis's recent fashion purchases. It was then I realized how incredibly filtered and biased the media can be.

a parent overtly and persistently forcing their child to notice "my parent is a useless pod" is much more detrimental than anything a president, or even dubya, could say.

170. What I meant was, we have the power of boycott.

Look at the funny video someone posted of the the March. LOL

165 -- I think that's a problem. I really think $ should not equal power as much as people in this country think it does. Serious problem with our culture.

obama will secretly create DARK GREEN jobs.

Now be honest. Have you EVER seen such a collection of total jerks as the modern GOP politicians?

And have you EVER seen such a collection of total jerks as the modern DEM politicians?

Frankly, I'd love to slap Noot.

163: "and how do the kennedys feel about having a black plowman in the family" - letterman interviewing arnold.

The power we have isn't public marches, it's our money and where we choose to spend it.

steph must have been depressed as a child, because she's jealous of sarah palin's tina fey glasses.

Hey, here's something. Notice the teabagger posters of Obama with a Hitler mustache drawn in? Now, knowing how the modern Hitler Youth, skinheads and other white supremacists feel about the "mud race" and all, I wonder how outraged they are about seeing Der Fuhrer depicted as a BLACK MAN!

159: did you just bogey that putt ?

155/157: perhaps freecycle.com ?

Oprah needs to open a giant can of whoop-ass on this whole country for our bad manners. Only she could do it (well, except maybe Lauren Bacall - oops, sorry Steph).

Hey, we're up to SPA.. No need to admonish you MookenBloggenators to get your butts in gear! It's too late!

The music is reversible, but time is not! Turn back! ... turn back..

155 -- do not want

obama could end all this by simply whipping out a tea-bag.

Ingraham is replete with a tight little body..

Something would need to be stuffed in her mouth, however, to enjoy her company.

150: before or behind the tennis ball ?

You mean it was a conspiracy? We're a bunch a nutcases to believe that!

146: sorry about the weird grammar - meant to say "when they cant agree that beyonce did the best howling". - and yes, jim, there are dfferent levels of crazy. - like pH balance. it's an open-ended scale (but i'm pretty sure that hannity, bachmann, and doctor lala are at theend of it.

Good, caller. Bullhorn is key to anti-teabagging! :-D

SPA!

145: yes, clearing that up is like 186 K mps - it's not just a good idea; it's the law.

Got any gouda? No, sorry.

143: it gets so ugly when they cant agree that did the best howling.

#111: my pooer's dad - thanks for "clearing that up!"

142: king looks scarier than his characters.

Steph's dogs are at home now stuffing tennis balls down each others throats - nice parenting, Steph.
