• Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) calls in at 6:05am Pacific to talk about health care reform.
• Rep. Joe Courtney (D-CT) calls in at 6:30am Pacific to talk about health care reform.
• Gerald McEntee, President of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees Union, calls in at 7:05am Pacific to talk about President Obama’s speech last night.
• Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) calls in at 7:30am Pacific to talk about health care reform.
• Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-Missouri) calls in at 8:30am Pacific to talk about health care reform.
• President Obama last night made a passionate call for Congress to fix the nation’s ailing health care system in the same spirit that created Social Security and Medicare in difficult times. He offered his most detailed outline for legislation while challenging GOP opponents to build on issues of agreement rather than play politics to exploit differences.
• Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) shouted “You lie” during President Obama’s health care speech to Congress last night, and members of both parties condemned the heckling. Wilson called the White House to apologize and spoke with Rahm Emanuel, who accepted the apology on the president’s behalf. “We can disagree without being disagreeable,” Emanuel said to Wilson. “That was the point of the speech.”

Goood morning all!
In a fair world Rep Wilson would find that his healthcare has been cancelled and all power to his office has been shut off. I don’t remember any Democrats shouting down Chimpy during a nationally televised speech. They may have sat on their hands while the Fascist half of the chamber cheered, but no outbursts.
Ah yes, the Party of Family Values strikes again.
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/9/9/779065/-Hot-Mic-Exposes-GOP-Family-Values
How incredibly stupid do you have to be to talk about boinking a lobbyist into an open mike.
I feel great this morning after donating to Rep Wilson’s opponent, Rob Miller. Hit him where it hurts. Support a Miller.
http://www.actblue.com/page/kossacks4miller
So far this fund raising group specific to the “You Lie” comment has almost doubled Rob Miller’s donations on the ActBlue web site.
Oh, and I didn’t get a chance to say this yesterday but boy am I glad I get to vote for Barney Frank every 2 years!
Shame on Jim though for screwing up the state…er…Commonwealth. Does that mean that the duty of announcing guests falls to Rebekah now?
Got visitors again today, so I’ll be popping out soon. Have fun….
#3 Yes, Rebekah can do the introduction duties… but only as Ross Perot.
“Can I finish, can I finish. I’ve got a pie chart.”
I’ll add that Rep. Frank was a wonderful guest. Hopefully, he’ll make a return visit.
I’ve been pondering appropriate retribution for Rep. Joe Wilson (besides the obvious loss of his seat to a Dem in the next election). I think a long dining room table discussion with Rep. Frank about House etiquette would be a good start.
Morning shaf.
Still waiting on the visitors, should be here any minute though.
I’m bummed that it’s dark when I start my commute to work in the morning now.
5.
I think loss of healthcare would be retribution enough. Of course the resident RW “sports-yak” station was cheering him on. I’ll be interested in seeing what effect the new competition (with the death of WBCN) has on them ratings-wise. They’ve already cut down their absurdly long commerical breaks (up to 15 minutes).
#2 Len, I saw that on Daily Kos this morning (that Miller’s contributions have doubled). In Stewie’s words, “Oh, how deliciously ruthless!”
And, there’s nothing wrong with the Rethugs sitting on their hands during a speech by the opposition leader. However, Cantor’s twittering throughout the speech is just frakin’ rude. Someone needs to take his toy away.
Mark Sanford and Joe Wilson. South Carolina is the new Florida.
And in a delicious bit of irony CBS has seen fit to park the WBCN call letters at a sports-talk station in Charlotte, which next week will flip to conservative talk.
I think I’m being paged, toodle-ooo…
#10 I swear, there’s not much difference between sports talk and conservative talk (in substance or the intelligence of their P1 demo).
Well shucks, now dont yall know i tried to tell good ole Joe Willie what a great job he done last nite, but when I went to his web thang to tell him and all his boys that he looked like a saweeet summer sausage bout ready to burst an that we un all her bouts just love him for bein so brave that his web thang done broke. magine that. yall dont belive me! go on check it for yo selfs. http://www.joewilson.house.gov/
Seems his phone done broke two.
Between Wilson’s outburst, Cantor’s twittering, and Bhoener’s smug look… I’m truely disgusted… I thought this was congress, not kindergarten…
12: You’re right there, shaf. And it appears sports is the only area RWers are more than willing to spend taxes on (aside from military spending).
13: LMAO – stop! I’m spitting coffee out my nose.
So, the main RW talking point now appears to be, “Let’s start from scratch and have ‘true’ bipartisan participation in developing the plan.” So, up to now, all the RWs did was lie, use divisive tactics, send tea baggers to town hall meetings to call Obama a nazi, and otherwise just be obstructionists. Yet, they have offered nothing in terms of what they would do. Traditionally, all I have ever heard them offer in terms of healthcare is tax credits/vouchers – the only trick in the RWs bag for everything.
good morning, Glories!
como estan ustedes?
Hey, guys…I’m going to blog whore real quick here. If you’re pissed off at Joe Wilson and his outburst, here’s how you get even.
Pissed off at Joe Wilson? Here’s What to Do
His district includes a couple of very tourism dependent cities. So you send emails to the CVB and Chamber of Commerce there letting them know that because of his outburst, you won’t be considering them as a vacation or meeting destination.
If 84 percent of the district voted for him in the last election, then they support him. So make them pay. Hit them in the wallet.
I’ve got to run, but I’ll be back in a bit.
Barney Frank: Benny Frank-lin? reincarnated?
just wondering
Good Morning Board!
Happy birthdays to cutie-pies Colin Firth (49) and Ryan Phillipe (35) and the former Mr. Chicone Guy Ritchie is 41.
Impeach Joe Wilson now!
hey yall.
Love it Tony!
you lie! you have every right to fear! get off my phone!
WTFU!!! [wake the f@#K up!] We live in an era of Corporate Rule.
You are being reduced to a feudal peon by these Monstrosities.
This is not an epoch where more freedom is needed, we suffer
under a LACK of government not too much of it. There IS too
much government, and it encroaches on our private lives, but
that’s Tomorrow’s Rant.
The Oppression of our age comes from Private Corporations.
Hazen S. Pingree, Mayor of Detroit and Governor of Michigan
spoke out against Corporations… in 1888 or so
“Corporations seeking franchises find it necessary to
elect dishonest men to public office.”
And now comes bought-and-paid-for Suckwad little Tony Kennedy,
Filth of the First Water and Lord High Justice of the Supreme
Court of the United States, and Corporate Shill:
“Corporations have lots of knowledge about environment,
transportation issues, and you are silencing them during
the election”
Hey Scumbag: WTFU! Corporations ain’t citizens, they ain’t
people, they got no Free Speech rights, and the only
KNOWLEDGE they got about the environment is how to trash
it for their own profit and then walk away with help from
dog shits like you.
Anthony Kennedy, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas want to
destroy whatever shreds of democracy this nation has left,
by allowing unbridled Corporate BUYING of elections.
Corporations are three hundred pound gorillas. Government
exists for the sole purpose of keeping the strong from
taking the weak. Leave it up to these bastards on the
Supreme Court in the pockets of the Corporate Elite and
there is no United States of America. There is only
Exxon-Mobile, General Electric, Walmart, etc etc etc
ad nauseum
a caller to Thom Hartmann yesterday observed that
Corporate names are merely the noms de guerre of Land Pirates conducting Class War on the rest of us.
Smell the freaking coffee before it’s too damned late people.
“What is clear by statements made by many notable individuals (including Churchill and Disraeli) is that ‘at least since
the Roman Empire there have been very powerful individuals
whose personal interests are inimical to national interests everywhere. Such people collect to form very low-profile
cabals, cliques, and cartels. Most of their activities are
not necessarily “illegal” in the usual sense. They are above
the law and they determine the law to serve themselves.’
Upon any significant social or political issues they always
have representatives on all sides. They thrive upon the
chaos. Human calamity is their opportunity.”

In the last hour Rob Miller, Joe Wilson’s opponent, has added 283 donors for a total of $11,157 at the ActBlue web site.
http://www.actblue.com/page/kossacks4miller
Right after Rep. Joe Wilson’s outburst last nite some clever person managed to briefly alter his Wiki page to include something like “a $%#@%$# who has no respect for the President”. I’ve lost the link and the sentence was reportedly up for just an hour or so.
Haven’t heard how Valerie Plame reacted when he got home.
I thought the Repugs were going to try one of their special town hall shout downs last night.. If there are of them left who are respectable, they have to be embarrassed.
This was like Night at the Apollo Theater.
25 peace Mark
Wilson gambled on that his fellow republicans would back him up and echo the sentiment, NOT!!!
If this unites the Democrats and Congress starts helping the country again, then thank you Joe Wilson.
it was supposed to be a “you lie” wave, but he was the only one who followed through….
Morning all!
Great speech by the prez last night. I feel better.
Was fun watching Pelosi after that idiot yelled – bet he’s going to the woodshed this morning!
If only Los Angeles would be a liberal city (again, assuming it ever was in the first place)…
In Wilson’s pathetic mind, he thought that a giant can was going to pull the President off stage.
And, in case you wondered what papers the GOP members were holding up, it was their health care plan. If it’s what they proposed a few months ago, that it in its entirety.
where do I send my check AGAINST Wilson?
LOL # 33!
My progressive soul is aching this morning. I’m extremely disappointed with the President/Baucus’s speech. No Universal Healthcare mentioned. The health insurance companies will continue to economically rape us. Also, the socio-economic division of our country will continue to worsen. He also didn’t go off the teleprompter when the goof from South Carolina insulted him! If this is his set of balls, he needs to get a larger set. Hopefully, President Obama will prove to me that he’s NOT just another politician, which is what I took away from his speech last night.
34: She should assign him an office next to the boiler room.
1: as funny as the bigger picture is, it’s impossible not to be perturbed by the lethal way that a rabbit can swing a participle (RUN AWAY !! – RUN AWAY !!) – boinking a lobbyist into an open mike ? – ouch ! i really must get back into the rhythm of karaoke night. i hear reno now has a karaoke stage whereupon one can be gonged.
The GOP was not just disgruntled, they were a veritable “desert of gruntle”.
How cool is that, plants in the republican section to stand up and clap. That is way cool.
31: Que crickets.
I loved how the pitiful repugs sat there like spoiled children, refusing to take part. It was so great that Obama confronted them. When he said “we will call you out!” – I yelled FINALLY at the TV!
Wilson, we are going to have to move your office to the basement and take your stapler too.

This web site is accepting contributions to Rob Miller, Joe Wilson’s opponent.
http://www.actblue.com/page/kossacks4miller
6: “….I’m bummed that it’s dark when I start my commute to work in the morning now.” – be of good cheer that you’re in alaska. you get to see russia for free.
8: “…Cantor’s twittering throughout the speech is just frakin’ rude. Someone needs to take his toy away….” maybe so, but “the jazz singer” was still watchable. – thoe one change i would have made would be to have franklyn ajaye sing the kol nidre.
Rob Miller, Wilson opponent has received over $80,000 dollars in unsolicited contributins since that outburst.
You know that the president is going to give healthcare to illegal immigrants, since they did vote for him, right?
12: “…I swear, there’s not much difference between sports talk and conservative talk…” – the difference must be that sports talk has a higher standard; it’s a world where not even sarah louise heath palin flunked out. – - – - right, rush ?
I also liked how the entire pack of stooges stood up abruptly at the mention of tort reform. Of course, these guys are all for limiting the ability for individuals to sue, but certainly won’t compromise the same rights for their beloved corporations..
Also, I’m told that the cost of medical malpractice awards amounts to about 1.5% of health costs. While that is substantial, it’s not going to fix health care.
Everyone gripes about the greed of insurance companies when it comes to health care, but how about the greed of the pharmas and the health products industry.
Let me give you an example. I’ve had bad staph infections multiple times, requiring surgery. Part of the effective wound therapy is a device called the Wound VAC, which is literally a special small vacuum pump. The special bandages seal around the wound and the vacuum pump keeps it under negative pressure. It’s a wonderful device, and a simple one. It RENTS for $132 a day, of course, and my (good) insurance didn’t cover 20% of the cost. So, $26 a day for 30 days in a month, and I’m coughing up over $750 for the use of this device. And I end up having it for nearly two months. I wanted to simply PURCHASE the unit – NO, not available for sale. My doctor wanted to purchase a couple of units for the clinic. No sale!
Imagine NOT having insurance and needing that device. Even $750 a month blows a hell of a hole in the average family budget.
I’ve got similar comments about charges for such things, even like wheelchairs, which are overpriced. Various health care rental groups make a real killing on this stuff!
And don’t get me started on Walgreens! These people are making a bundle off medications. In Mexico or Canada, the identical prescriptions sell for as little as 30% of what they do in this country.
Who’s gouging?
Joe Wilson is one of seven state legislators who opposed removing the Confederate flag from the State House in Columbia to the Confederate Memorial on the grounds. Whatcha wanna bet his calling out the Uppity Negro gets him free lunch at Maurice’s Restaurant for a year?

Was the president playing the game of chess or chicken, I think that he was playing chess.
Morning,
OMG, I hate that the Joe Wilson is getting so much attention but exposure of the repubs on the national stage as disrespectful speaks to where the party has evolved (as if we already didn’t know this). I hope he loses his reelection. He knew exactly what he was doing.
54 can you create your own version of the Wound Vac?
hi Carein!
obit for my murdered neighbor here:
http://www.freep.com/article/20090910/NEWS03/909100425/1005/Shooting-victim-was-counselor-for-children
ok I’m out the door, try to get back before the shows over
The republicans were thinking that the president was playing chicken and that he would swerve off the road at the last minute and hit a light pole.
50: Can I get a flombaye-English dictionary?
20: “Barney Frank: Benny Frank-lin? reincarnated?” – dont let the skateboard fool you. sure, they both seem frumpy, smart, pro-library, electrified when they want to be…. but they cant be the same person. ben franklin was way hetero. maximo hetero. hetero to beat the band. way bitchin hetero. like totally frikkin death-defying hetero. the guy was hetero up the a— hey, wait a second….
Yup – and no one called Bush out on his lies.
#54, Sorry to hear that. Hope you are better.
Second, you are right, the pharams and health products industries disgust me too. How many commercials do we have to see about one pill that cures something – but you risk dry mouth, bladder control, liver problems, blindness and forget ever taking medication if your pregnant. I am convinced they are selling one pill and calling it different things in order to fool us. They other product they have is viagra (they’re all the same – and I am sick of those commercials too).
Why does it not surprise me that Wilson is from South Carolina?
54: I also heard that medical malpractice kills more people each year than auto accidents.
“avoid going to hilton head” – honey, we’re cancelling the visit to paris.
# 62 I might be in the minority here – but I think the Democrats should have called out Bush and Cheney.
33: “it was supposed to be a “you lie” wave, but he was the only one who followed through….” – two months late, no less. yumpin yimminy. why wasnt rumsfeld there ?
He made disparaging remarks against the Commander in Chief. That’s what happened to 1Lt Watada when he talked against George W. Bush.
Since Wilson is a Colonel, that probably won’t happen though.
#67 – absolutely! I wish they had been confronted and stopped long before it launched. Congress never officially declared war – just gave them the vote to pursue starting war.
43: ah yes… the desert of gruntle. – didnt you love how cleverly beowulf handled the ambush by tim and the trojan rabbit ?
9 — like Africanized bees, they’re moving north! eep!
Hiya, Bloggoes
How ya doin’? Chock full of comedic content?
44: “How cool is that, plants in the republican section to stand up and clap. That is way cool.” – i didnt get to see it. did their black guy high five with somebody ?
Hey Joe – prejudiced much?
Wilson is probably a birther too, so I’m sure that he feels that it is ok to say those remarks.
The moment Joe made his outburst I was thinking of the Invader Zim cartoon.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqMPggnF188
Tort reform is bull shit. One of my father’s doctors told him he perofmed a PSA test, but he didn’t. Eight years later my father is dead from prostate cancer, but the docotor is still practicing. My father won a small suit against that doctor, but I’d prefer to have him around.
Obama handled it well though – had a slight smile on his face, like “what?” and kept going forward. It was rude and unprofessional, just like cantor texting during the speech. They are losers.
46: “I loved how the pitiful repugs sat there like spoiled children, refusing to take part. It was so great that Obama confronted them. When he said “we will call you out!” – I yelled FINALLY at the TV!” — yeah, sometimes obama sort of has that older-brother-with-a-sense-of-humor quality: “stop bitch-slapping yourself! – yes, you can! – stop bitch-slapping yourself!”
#78 – sorry to hear about your dad. Did the insurance company have anything to do with it or was it just an incompetent doctor?
Obama is a clutch basketball shooter.
i would have loved to see some japanese style politics come out…with the president leaping off the stage with a shoe in one hand and part of the podium in the other. Joe Wilson fashions his health care paper work into makeshift shank….
yeah….
81: From what I know, just a negligent doctor. But whos knows how much preasure there is not to do test.
I was just sitting there hoping that some of my conservative relatives were watching the speech – getting some correct information for a change – rather than boycotting it and watching cluster fox.
The moral of the story is, don’t underestimate Obama. I was reminded of that again watching him last night but we are still getting to know this president.
67: “I might be in the minority here – but I think the Democrats should have called out Bush and Cheney.” – - – oh, no no no no no ! – you see, there was a war, and the rule is it would be rude to interrupt. this is a derivative of the joke about a kid who was in court charged with double homicide. as a defense, all the kid had to say was “give me a break, judge; i’m an orphan”. – whoever wrote that joke should have come forward to sue bush and president cheney for copyright infringement.
So, how can you tell if the President made his point last night?
The health insurers are whinning this morning that the “president failed to tackle medical expenses”!
Thats when you know he made his point….
http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20090910/pl_bloomberg/aatf5mqa3qe
I loved the President’s speech but why are we not talking about the crazy notion that our health payments should not be allowed to be a capitalistic machine? Why is it that we should even allow companies to make money on paying our health care bills? Sure they negotiate a little on our behalf, but give me a break. How would we feel if our Fire and Police Departments were privatized. Better yet, what if an organization was created to simply pay our Fire and Police Depts on our behalf. They would charge us a premium and negotiate rates with firemen and policemen. WTF? Would this make sense? Isn’t this essentially what health care insurance companies are?
Why doesn’t Rep. Joe Wilson just shave his head, trade in his Brooks Brothers suits for tees and jeans, and change his last name to “DaPlumber”?
Beak it down!
#89 – in some communities, the fire and police dept are privitized – scary.
Break! (sorry)
88: what a refreshingly extreme improvement from “the great excommunicator”. – obama was deliberate about making it so simple that children could grasp it. the point was very penetrating. it is only with propagandic intent that certain repugs are trying to sit on it.
Great use of the Invader Zim drop.
Please, no Nazi-loving Scott (Scottzi).
As he said it’s the season for action, I really hope the Dems will pull through.
Another thing, insurance companies remind me of pimps. They do none of the work. They are just there to pimp the whores (doctors) while they pull in all the money and pay the doctors a percentage (small) of what they get. Why should the CEO of an insurance company make so much more than a doctor (who actually does the work)?
Did Mama just abort RW Scott?
Charlie Rangel was having a great time.
Those Republican congressmen were waving their birth certificates . . .
The sad thing is that Wilson will probably receive a heros welcome in some places.
90: must you be so “september tenth” ? oops. nevermind.
#89 yes, in very small communities where it actually works. No major city or even heavily populated area has private insurance companies.
To Joe Wilson and his vile comrades in and out of Congress: thanks for once again demonstrating why the republican’t party, its’ incompetent leadership, deranged constituency, and greedy corporate agenda have been proven vastly unworthy of and dangerous to the US Constitution, The American People, and a Sustainable National Destiny.
Moreover, Joe Wilson and all the rest of the brainless, toothless yelping dogs of the republican’t party, are much more than obvious liars. They are miserable failures and a hideous blight upon our Government and Nation.
So vast and onerous is the republican’t failure, that it will surely take the remaining years of the next decade before the latest republican’t disaster of government is repaired, as always, by competent Democratic leaders and competent Democratic governance committed to the good of the American People.
As the tangible consequences of former republican’t governance continue to wreak havoc upon our national economy, even the most trusting citizens can clearly see the continuing damage resulting from criminally incompetent republican’t rule. This is the truth that must no longer be surpressed by the network snoozemedia.
The republican’t coalition of the rich and the stupid has finally become untenable. If the truth prevails, the future, once again, will belong to the American People not global corporations, propagandist media lackeys, or their vile republican’t congressional handpuppets like Joe Wilson.
The enemies of Senator Kennedy, Speaker Pelosi, and President Obama are truly the enemies of our Nations health and economic future.
They shall never prevail.
John from Amherst or RW Jerry out to be chiming in soon.
Family Values party for ya’!
Steph please please please don’t give that nut job Birther Mary Ann a platform today. We don’t need her harshing our post speech buzz.
eye-patch underwear ? is there any pirate video of this ?
#106 Yep, he’s been a bad boy… a dirty, bad boy!
I’m just curious… what the hell is eye patch underwear???
Alan Hale Jr? “Little Buddy!”
People used to pay volunteer fire departments “insurance” to protect their homes. They would put iron plates that showed the home owners paid for coverage (our history museum in St. Louis has many of these plates on display). When the fire department was called out, if they didn’t see the plate on the home, they would just let it burn down. Eventually, we figured out that we needed better fire protection than that – probably after the whole city of St. Louis almost burned down from embers from a steamboat.
110 — I’m guessing he means a thong.
#104 – I thought they showed their true personality (flying monkeys) last night too – they couldn’t even hide it nor did they make an attempt too. Don’t want the insurance overlords to think they weren’t trying!
Did anyone else hear sqeezy music as soon as a chick called in to tell Steph about her fantasy???
#110 Dunno. Maybe it’s a thong with a tiny patch covering the a-a-area.
110. I would think it would protect a person’s eyes in case of premature ejaculation.
there ott be a special website dedicated to subject matter that people wish considered private. that way, we can all scan the topics and know what they want left private, especially which lurid details they wish to have left alone. – maybe sam the weaselbonker could have a lurid tryst, but forget to register the details on such a website. the guy has been out of the spotlight for weeks.
He probably drive a BIG SUV with a big pallic hood ornament on it.
No hello for ProducerChris, Scottzi?
What about the fact that the women that Duvall was nailing were lobbyists! It’s got to be illegal to trade sex for votes in the assembly. Isn’t criminal prosecution possible?
A PURPLE LIPS NOW !!
This guy simply can not be for real – just like crazy Rev. Dan.
Anything going on-emailing or contacting Eric Cantor (via blackberry) about his rudeness?
For the love of Dog, please don’t take Scott’s call again!
#95: I KNEW it would be Scott … should have kept him waiting a few more hours.
Racist republicans.
Que barf sounds.
110: DNID – didnt you get my flirty emails ?
124 — I think it would be AWESOME if Cantor’s cell # were on flombaye’s proposed website.
Was that Right Wing Snot, and his brother?
No! don’t ban Scott! He’s the best demonstration of what the right really thinks.
121: the evidence is hearsay. not actionable.
132. I say let him on the show and hang up on him after 2 or 3 words.
I agree with Chris.
Don’t allow that man on your show again.
That last comment was over the top.
( Joe Wilson may have empowered the wackos to be even more racist. )
I’m sure Scott would have got around to dropping the word ZOG, had he not been accidentally disconnected..
Questions for Conspicuous Christians: Who would Jesus deny health care to?
124: he’s still hiding out somewhere in texas… but dont worry. we have franklyn ajaye, burt reynolds, AND jerry reed roaming around at random looking for him. give it a few minutes.
Why is Stephanie not on Sirius during normal hours? Lynn Samuels just sucks.
130: that wouldnt work. the guy snores so loudly that they granted me a separate cell. (388-B – come by some time !)
136. Jesus would obviously deny health care to anyone who does not pull themselves up by the bootstraps and pay for it themselves.
Why am I listening to the instrumental version of Wild Thing?
Speaking for all the LW Scotts of the world, PLEAZE don’t allow that idiot RW Scott on again. He’s damaging our franchise!
136: “Who would Jesus deny health care to?” — probably POPEYE. there was a very violent misunderstanding went the pope went to mount olive.
I gots to leave. big doin’s today.
Buh Bye, Bloggoes!
luvya!
121, although I have to remember my favorite political quote from Jess Unruh, “If you can’t take their money, drink their liquor, f*** their women, and still vote against them, you don’t belong in politics.” Duvall could just be follow Jess’ advice.
141: tone loc has a sore throat maybe ? hmmm. how can you tell ?
one more thing — 143 — cheap. but funny.
147: it’s cheaper than you suspect. they patched up popeye’s reputation with a spinach-doctor.
141. LOL, I think he’s making a movie.
I would gratuitously enjoying kicking Karl Rove’s fat white quaking Republican butt..
I personally am tired of fighting the lies… not saying I’m giving up, but I’ve been so frustrated I’ve been avoiding much of the news I normally follow…
The prez’s speech helped some, but I nearly threw something at the TV when Wilson screamed. I am so frustrated with LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The hypcracy is too much for me lately!
I tried to take a vacation for the labor day weekend to get away from the stress… however, ended up stuck in a hotel room with food poisining in a hoe-dunk city that had no other news channels than fox!
UGHHHH!!!
the wholesome new ZEN MEAL – mac and tea !
At least he didn’t throw a shoe I guess.
South Carolina is not a charming state. Small town feel is a compliment to SC.

Actually I love Hilton Head though.
Reading requires thought and critical analysis. You think this applies to rethugs?
Those repugs are never going to get onboard – I hope the Pres is done holding out the olive branch to people so filled with bile and hatred. They simply are unable to get past their ideology.
I could pick quite a few politicians I’d like to throw a shoe at… but if possible, I’d like to use one of those bronze covered baby-shoes!
158… I concur! The only thing these bastards are going to use an olive branch for is to beat democrats over the head with lies!
I’ve heard that “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” crap all my life from Republicans, most of whom never did an honest day’s work in their lives.
Many of the people needing health care the most have nothing to pull up. That rugged individualist bullshit only goes so far. EVERYONE ought to have health care. Like the rest of the civilized countries on the planet!
The goddam Republicans have only one purpose in their lives, to promote the wealthy, and further enrichment of the rich. I’ve had it with them.
159: watch out. danielle is reaching for the depleted bronze.
Can’t you imagine the Repubs with their fingers in their ears, eyes closed and tongue sticked out when presented with the bill?
That olive branch should be trimmed into a switch and beat some Republican asses with it.
At the beginning of the show Chris said that some site exploded w/ comments right after Wilson was identified. I thought that Chris said facebook. Any help on what the site was?
We need more Palins, Bachmans, and Wilsons so that the Democrats can win the White House in 2012
161: now, be nice. just look at how hard they work:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW2GhoItKkw&feature=related
161. Don’t forget to also deny the Dems. They hated Clinton even though he gave them almost everything they wanted from a fiscal perspective.
#136: Jesus would smite thee for ending a sentence with a preposition.
“TO WHOM would Jesus deny healthcare?”
#165- I thought it was Facebook…
Really, while Obama may be playing chess etc. I’m weary of the silly notion that Repubs should be involved – they have nothing constructive to contribute. In reality, they are determined to oppose EVERYTHING, hoping to deny Obama and the Democrats any achievements. Meanwhile, screw the country! I say screw these guys.
164: inspiration !! – i can just see fat albert and the cosby kids sporting t-shirts that say “WHO WOULD JESUS COMPEL TO GO PICK OUT THEIR OWN SWITCH ?”
#168 – Yeah, as I tell my repug friends, gee 8 years of peace and properity – how awful!
LOL, GWB imitation.
sounds like mark foley has turned over a brand new page.
#175 – good one!
“The Mind of Mark Foley”- sounds like a weekend MSNBC special!
Inside the mind of Mark Foley is a middle school gym shower.
Going into Mark Foley’s mind would be like that episode of The Dave Chappelle Show, “If the internet were a real place to go to.”
PJ, so true, my grammar really sucks nowadays. Too much technical writing has ruined me, and the “I’m an engineer, Jim, NOT an essayist!” excuse doesn’t play any more.
LOL! Love how Jim makes Mark Foley sound like SnagglepuSs!!
169: and that reminds me:
ordinary mass transit sticker:
REAL MEN LOVE JESUS
walkenized mass transit sticker:
REAL MEN FIND JESUS PRETTY HOT
How about the Prez hit a home run??
What’s a golf analogy? I don’t play golf – would it be he “eagled”??
Sam, Jim Ward is the best voice deity on the planet. He’s my idol and mentor.
183: but talk of homerun technology is so “september tenth”. must we discuss that today ?
How ’bout the Prez shot a 3-pointer?
Morning all! My favorite part of the Obama speech was when he used the word “LIES”. FINALLY someone said the L word in politics and what a place to say it!
We just saw a handpainted sign along a country road here in a VERY RED part of Virginia–”Jesus Supports Healthcare” And not a DFH in sight, either.
Good morning all!!!! What a great day!
#1–I LMAO when I heard that latest Republican fall yesterday.
184: did very well at the windmill, but a stray raccoon tried to steal the show with its cute and distracting antics, while a brain-damaged bullfrog tried to make a few rounds of pacman look like texting. – also, the prez excelled on the alice-in-wonderland and the bobby-fischer-macarena portions of the course.
ever notice that “Lies lies lies” (the music bumper Chris just ran) has the same bass line as “Low Rider”?
#188—Yes, I agree. He said “lie”. No euphemisms. How refreshing.
My favorite line was “The time for game playing is done.”
That’s the thing that disgusts me about politics. So many of them play games with our lives.
192: yeah. too bad they still play that black nazi socialist purple-lipped propaganda tune. “low rie duh …. dont use much gas now”
I wonder if Faux News will add a (D) after Rep. Wilson’s name.
Lately Randi has been letting a lot of RW Wacko callers on.
I think Mike Malloy’s finally got them too scared to call, so much so that the last one had to Lie before he was let on and he said something stupid and insulting about Senator Kennedy. Mike told him off and never to call againl
Lies, lies, lies are..
Lowriders!
You’re right, Shane-O.
SScottzi of nazareth:
“you want me to revive who ?
that lazarus guy ?
no. forget him. he’s been dead three weeks. his lips are purple.
- i’m just going to hang out here with mother and practice
mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.”
buzzkill alert – might want to wait til the Obamabuzz wears off before you watch Amy Goodman’s interview with Dr Quentin Young (O’s former doctor) who is staunch single-payer advocate.
#196- Randi’s show is on Premier Radio Networks – she is the only progressive radio host. I think she is starting to convert a few folks and as Steph would say, bring them “into the light!”.
#27—Internet retaliation that I know not of. Now I know. Will check Wiki pages now after these events to see the fun.
Shane-o, I’ve got some great “Liar” songs, but I have no idea how to edit the funny bits out. Perhaps I should send them to you to play with, should you have the need for a new liar drop. (I doubt that it will be long before a new one is needed…)
The repugs aren’t our friends, or even friends of the country or their constituents. They work for the insurance companies.
They were waving their bank statements filled with insurance payoffs
#204 – YUP!
They were waving parent opt out slips from the presidents speech to kids
Hey, I think the Thugs should make Goober Wilson their leader and follow him over the cliff. PLEEEASE? Life would be so much more pleasant without Republicans.
#40: You wrote: “No Universal Healthcare mentioned.”
The Pres. explained, rightly so, that if he did what the progressives want, single payer, it would be too disruptive to our present system. Now you can disagree with him on that, but I also think that single payer immediately would not only be disruptive but lose many Dems their jobs in 2010.
He is a politician, but at least Obama really gets input from the people about what kind of BS we’ve been dealing with out here for decades.
201: good moanin spiffy. you posted a Q just as i left yesterday. i would not have intentionally left you hanging. A: there are two well known entities sporting the name “the family”. one of them is charles manson’s kindreds and acolytes. – one is a conspiratorial group in D.C. who will cut deals with anybody at all for monetary gain. – i do not know how much crossover there is in their memberships. – the mansonites tend to be identifiable by their dune buggies and incredibly sturdy luggage.
Dani – sure, send them. Also, I can probably help you with learning how to edit them yourself (if that’s something you’d like to try?)
Hello RWNs out there. Please, if you have an idea on how to reform healthcare, let us know what it is so we can go to your town hall meetings and yell. My congressman is Tod Aikin. I don’t think he’s had an original idea since he was elected.
104 great post thanx
I’m back
nice motorcycle ride, cool air
Wilson, Bachman, Palin for President. Put all three of their brains together and any left overs from Bush.
#43—GOP reminded me of frat boys—-spoiled, rich frat boys plotting their next stupid-*ss prank because they can.
208. Spot on! He’s a masterful politician.
#54—-Yes, that is correct. Lawsuits account for about 1% of HC costs. But the Rethuglicans have adopted this issue because it doesn’t cost them a thing and it protects their rich contributors, some of whom are doctors.
#212—Did you get the job?
Republicans are simply spoiled brats. As long as everything is going their way, they are tolerable. That not the case, they throw a fit, kicking and screaming. (I have a cure for that behavior, applicable to the Repubs, since they are acting like rotten little snot nosed brats.)
And Obama was wrong, the insurance companies deny claims because they ARE EVIL GREEDY corporations.
209 The Family aka the C Street Creeps… they practice
the Devil’s Christianity… I kid you not.
What do you call it when their heros are Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot,
Stalin? They apparently all have trists with their mistresses
while mouthing ‘Christian’ ‘Family Values’ platitudes… the
‘Church’ teaches that ‘Jesus’ has Chosen them to Lead and so
they can do no wrong… literally. The Rules are for us rubes.
The Ten Commandments don’t apply to members of “The Family”.
They are the ones btw who put on the “Presidential Prayer
Breakfast” every year. A clear violation of the separtation
of Church and State. see also:

#204—LOL. We were wondering what those were too. They looked so freakin’ stupid doing that.
Someone said it was a copy of their bill. They have a plan now. They have a plan!!! The dog ate their H/W before, but now they have a plan.
Their plan no doubt plans on increasing Ins. Co. profits on our backs.
#218—Obama was being generous and kind to the Ins. Companies when he said that.
218. But unfortunately insurance co’s are 1/6 of our economy and have to be dealt with skillfully.
Shane-o, I’d love any opportunity to learn from ya’!
I just wish you were close enough to learn in person!
#51—LOL!
220… but does it contain numbers this time???
The Conspicuous Christians are a gullible lot by nature. And they think everyone else is a gullible and simple minded as they are.
I always try to remind them that Jesus said: take up thy cross and follow Me. They don’t cotton to the idea of giving away their wealth to the poor..
Jesus would be strung up as a maggot infested hippy if He showed up here today.
217 Spiff I had to grovel and beg and plead because one of the
few janitorial accounts I have left was about to be taken away…
because a moron temp worker started leaving rude, insulting
notes to the bank manager and tellers, asking them if they
left their own homes like pig-stys or commenting on who
raised them… no guarantee we’ll keep cleaning, but I can’t
afford to lose another account, especially over something
sofreakingdumb… the company is almost dead, and new cleaning
accounts just aren’t out there. I’m losing a big software firm
this week, they are moving out of state… wah wah wah everybody
is hurting here…
LOLOL–OMG, when they played that stinger of “you lie!” I just had a vision of creating a thing with Wilson’s clip spliced with that one.
But Shane-O can make that in minutes. It would take me hours.
Nuthin’!
226: How do we know he didn’t, but got disgusted and left.
I’m sorry to hear that Mark! I’ll keep hopin’ for ya’!
[blogmaster's note: please remember in your posts to
correctly spell Blew Dogs as in Blew Dog Democrats
as in that's what they do...]
Yikes! Everybody. I need your help.
I listen to WBBM Chicago when I wake up in the morning. I thought the president’s speech was great. Lo and behold, I wake up to WBBM news radio saying things like:
1) people are going to be forced into the government option because employers will drop coverage.
2) the Democrats are going to cut Medicare benefits.
3) and quoting the Republican rebuttal saying that Obama’s plan is government run medical care.
I couldn’t believe the regular news had spinned this so badly that the message was exactly the opposite of what the President said. This wasn’t even Rush Limbaugh or FOX it was WBBM news!
Can you do me a favor and please email WBBM and protest their spreading confusion about the President’s plan? This is Chicago and the radio stations should support the President or put their opinions in an editorial not the news.
Thanks a million!!!!
http://www.wbbm780.com/pages/2062.php
232.. lol
Using my Goya Naked Maja coffee cup this morning. It makes me happy.
I cringed when he said that insurance exe’s aren’t bad people…yes they are. They know what they do has caused people to die.
227—-Wow. I’m sorry. One should know that when one is hired to clean up after people one will encounter all their worst messes.
One would think the temp would know that.
I hope you gave the temp agency a piece of your mind.
Let’s see, where is there a messy town near you that needs cleaning? Chicago? How do you feel about Minnesota. Minneapolis is a very clean town but perhaps that’s because they hire a lot of your businesses?
I hard that Baucus cleared his bill with K Street before he’s going to release it to Congress.
The good news is that Jesus is coming back soon.
The bad news is that He’s really pissed.
Sometimes I think the repugs are suffering from a kind of mental illness – they simply can’t not process reality.
#236—Yes, again, very generous. But they don’t see people as people. We are all numbers to them.
Apologize if anyone else has already posted this: Dennis Kucinich sez…

Gravity is just a theory!
Hey Danielle!
thanks, I’m ok, just broke, but I live the life of a country squire.
I play chess, feed the fish, walk the dogs, blog here, laugh at
Momma’s kookiness… ‘tho last nite I was freaking out over this
bank.
I sent the manager flowers, an apology card, I begged, I groveled,
I promised the moron would never set foot in her bank ever ever again.
243 — No, gravy is pretty much provable…
#202: “liar” songs:
Liar by the Sex Pistols (“…you’re a liar / I think you’re funny / you’re funny ha hah!”)
227. There’s a business for someone to clean up grafitti in Seattle. It’s everywhere and nobody seems to try to clean it up.
At 9:00 this morning, I went to ACTBLUE and donated $10 to Rob Miller.
He was at $119,000
Here at 10:56am…. Rob Miller is at $145,000
In less than 2 hours he has received over $26,000 in Donations at Act Blue.
239: He should be, but not for the things the RWNJs think.
Lie lie lie lie lie
Yes you lie lie lie lie lie
shoulda realized that you
shoulda told the truth…
#243, #245: Let’s test this “gravity” theory – sit right here while I heave this bowling ball over your head…
Just tried to post a comment on Joe Wilson’s House web page to express my displeasure. What a joke…it’s “Down for maintenance”.
251 — I thought somebody was expounding a theory of GRAVY. I believe in gravy. It’s good with biscuits.

asphalt and poison scum, followed by sergeants and
lawyers and crooked cops waving rule books; and
where nobody laughs and everybody lies and the days
drag by like dead animals and the nights are full
of whores and junkies clawing at your windows and
tax men jamming writs under your door and the
screams of the doomed coming up through the air
shaft along with white cockroaches and red stringworms
full of AIDS and bursts of foul gas with no sunrise

with thanks to Dr. Hunter S. Thompson for that quote
Very Smart Guy that Rob Miller…
If you go to his www web site….it doesn’t take you to his website…
it goes DIRECTLY to ACTBLUE.
Very smart…very smart!
So is Eric Cantor lobbying for a show as his next golden parachute? Here are his Tweets from last few days:
Be sure to tune in to Hannity on Fox News tonight at 10pm following the President’s address. I will be discussing my reaction to the speech
On @hannityshow discussing the health care debate.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow for Fox News Sunday, being interviewed by Chris Wallace.
will be on @MorningJoe tomorrow on MSNBC with @JoeNBC and @morningmika at 7:35 am
will be on @GMA tomorrow morning at 7 am
I think he may be going the way of Palin.
Name the author:
Well, jesus will be here
Be here soon
Hes gonna cover us up with leaves
With a blanket from the moon
With a promise and a vow
And a lullaby for my brow
Jesus gonna be here
Be here soon
Well Im just gonna wait here
I dont have to shout
I have no reason and
I have no doubt
Im gonna get myself
Unfurled from this mortal coiled up world
Because jesus gonna be here
Be here soon
I got to keep my eyes open
So I can see my lord
Im gonna watch the horizon
For a brand new ford
I can hear him rolling on down the lane
I said hollywood be thy name
Jesus gonna be
Gonna be here soon
Well Ive been faithful
And Ive been so good
Except for drinking
But he new that I would
Im gonna leave this place better
Than the way I found it was
And jesus gonna be here
Be here soon
Poor Joe Wilson. He didn’t realize that many people have $10 to spare and they will happily part with it to get rid of him.
It’s a learning moment for the Republicans.
233 I will email them and tell them to quit telling lies
257. Mark Drunken Biker Old Paratrooper in Deetown?
My favorite part of Obama’s speech was that he actually used the L-word (Lies) to describe the GOP’s ‘death panels’ talking point. Peggy and I said “It’s about time!”
260 — no, but i was reminded of Mark…
#209—I’ve only heard of the Manson’s Family and some religious cult called The Family. I don’t think they have intermingled have they?
Just like you try to sell the wack jobs out there on your insanity – Hannity.
Mark, I feel ya’ on being broke! It sucks that you had to do all that!
246: Also, Violent Femmes: “Lies, Lies, Lies” & “America is (the home of the hypocrite)
Michael Franti & Spearhead “Oh My God”- the line “Politicians got lipstick on their collars, the whole media started to hollar, I don’t give a damn who they’re screwing in private, I wanna know who they’re screwin’ in public…”
263. I’m reading this now. Very entertaining
http://www.amazon.com/Family-Secret-Fundamentalism-Heart-American/dp/0060559799
I also loved the approach of calling out GOP proposals that Obama would seriously consider (including HHS piloting cost-saving initiatives that were proposed by GWB and a proposal made by Sen. John McCain.
Robert Redford as Joe Turner in Three Days of The Condor:
“Boy, what is it with you people? You think not getting
caught in a lie is the same thing as telling the truth”
give hannity credit for speedy action. that response clearly was written before obama even started the speech.
ANY jacket worn by jim would be smokin.
Remeniscing about Charlie Bluhdorn? … yeuuch.
Gee what do we think will happen when we put ourselves in a dangerous situatin and then something dangerous happens. Oh, it’s so impressive.
Give me a break
Bait? Was it a spare hamburger from his famous drunk cell phone video?
Cheesburger joke coming up?
Oooh, good SA accent, Jim! Did you watch District 9 or something?
I think that you guys are mistaking him being in Sponge Bob the movie.
#274- nope, just sparta!
How is she going to do her show and AI?
245: “243 — No, gravy is pretty much provable…” – ever heard of austrailia ?
266 entertaining and very frightening eh?
Rob Miller, who is running against the SC Rep Joe Wilson, is a Marine and Iraq vet.

Boustany looked like a chicken in a man suit
Just like my cousin said to me, I don’t need to read it. I’m a republican!
Boustany — that’s “Baron” Boustany to you!
281- ten bucks says some dubass republitard will still say he doesn’t support the troops during the 2010 campaign!
Isn’t SC the state that keeps the confederate symbol on its flag.
Of course the old republican talking point is that Obama can sure read a good teleprompter.
The Democrats are the progressive party. So, whenever they propose a change for this country, they put their balls on the table for the repugs to whack. Republicans, on the other hand, have their testicles so far up their asses nice and safe that their BS backs up so everything that comes out of thier mouths just stinks.
Yup – wilson’s heading to the woodshed…
Stephie’s menagerie part III: whut else she got there at the
Compound? Parrots, macaws, birds of paradise, peacocks,
cassowaries… Cassowaries! Hell’s Own Turkey. One of the

see if this works:
280. Haven’t gotten to the scary part yet. It’s written by a guy who infiltrated and so far it’s just bizarre.
Countdown to Sparta!
285: ten bucks ? that dont even have a president on it. it’s nazi kenyan purple-lipped stalinist currency.
OK, so I have to give the songwriting credit for the lyrics I posted above — it’s Tom Waits. Tom Waits rocks.
Also –
SPARTABULOUS SPARTA!!!
294… LMAO!!!
SPARTA!
This stuff is just so high school.
Oh wow. It’s sparta time.
You Lie for SPARTA!
SPARTA!

Oh nooooooo!!!!! Too soon!!!
sparta.
I wonder if Joe Wilson will make an apology on the floor to the prez and most of all to the country?
Congrats to the liar Skyhawk!
#300—LOL. Perfect.
I stand corrected. SC used to fly the confederate flay over their
state house, but took it down in 2000 after a NAACP boycott.
Inflammatory remarks by state senator Arthur Ravenel made national headlines in Jan. 2000 when he defended the flying of the Southern Cross, referring to the NAACP as the “the National Association of Retarded People.” (http://www.infoplease.com/spot/confederate4.html)
Stay classy SC!
Skyhawk takes the Leonidas Cup™! Yay!
#139: That’s the cell I always think of when people talking on mobile phones go “call me, I’ve got my cell.”
298: you mean the jocks are going to taunt me until i roll over them ?
found a great hilarious smiley icon yestiday, trying to figure
out how to post it here… wait one
Thank you all. *bow*
Steph knows her new wave.
Did anyone see this last night on O’Reilly?
O’Reilly asked Axelrod about a warning from political consultant Dick Morris that Obama’s plan would lead to rationing of care. Axelrod dismissed the criticism from Morris, noting that doctors and nurses and the AMA are all in favor of the reform plan.
Axelrod also took a shot at Morris at which O’Reilly laughed: “I don’t know what medical school Dick Morris went to.”

305… funny, according to “HolidaysForEveryday.com” today is International Make-Up Day -Meaning to make up with someone who has done you wrong-…
Looks like a golden opportunity for Wilson!
I swear you can’t even make this stuff up…
Ha ha! Here’s the lie he’s telling his wife today:
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2009/09/mike-duvall-denies-an-affair-admits-inappropriate-storytelling-on-sex-comments.html
317. Mama?
I really dislike the excuse of racism for the reason right wingers hate Obama. It is too easy of an excuse to explain their behavior. Their heads are exploding because he is a intelligent, reasonable, progressive minded person that is absolutely beating the snot of them and could quite possible send their party back into the last century where they came.
He looks and breathes heavily, just like Rush Limbaugh.
there’s the answer. obama is playing basketball against bobby fischer.
stay tuned, as albert einstein debates relativity with dan quayle.
#322—That’s what I say to people too. It may bug some that he is black. But what bugs them most of all is that he is a Democrat. And a smart one.
#322—I think “beating the snot out of them” really bothers them too.
Good news: Garrison Keillor just suffered a minor stroke. He is apparently doing pretty well, considering.
322: yes, but those qualities are already embodied in other very public examples, such as denis kucinich, thom hartmann, alfred yankovic, daniel boorstin, and william shatner. – clearly, it’s about the mocha-tonin, or at least the lips-o-lavender. pasta la pizza.
LOL, Tom Foreman’s letter to the Pres. today. tee hee
http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2009/09/10/dear-president-obama-234-yelling-at-the-president/
Duvall’s a marshmallow man huh? You mean to say it wasn’t physical attraction that made those two hoo- I mean lobbyists – have kinky sex with him?
Prosecutions are really in order.
Sounds like how the GOP spun their analysis, as well (I didn’t see the speech, but I didn’t like it.)
327: not “doing well, considering. – he’s considering doing well”
lutherans are very deliberate.
pasta la pizza.
Obama had to watch his mother fight the healthcare system while dying of cancer. I think the issue is bone-deep with him.
This was the Grand Finale of all of the Town Hall Meeting that shout out put the nail in the coffin.
Boustany is a birther fer crikey’s sake
ok try this:

How do I get a job as a professional disrupter? Does it include health benefits?
336 all purpose thingy for dealing with rethug tooles
The bogus baron is a birther? Ha! of course!
Yes, I also feel better by donating to Rob Miller. What a great way to start my day.
Obama took the high road. Wilson, Cantor and others in the GOP took the low road. The people who actually watched the speech can judge for themselves.
don’t say scoot to a dog person. means something else entirely
while I dozed, sparta came. I yield to thee SkyHawk, and reveal my inner self!
342 see 336
334- The problem is that those already convinced by the bs lies either did not watch the speech or simply decided everything Obama said was a lie… Wilson’s comment not helping with the latter point…
That’s my personal frustration… how do you debate with someone when they simply decide not to see reality. How do you continue arguing with someone who says a fact is a lie? How do you force people to be respobsible, intelligent, citizens?
I hate to say it, but perhaps the fact that “Survival of the fitest” no longer applies will be the down fall of our civilized society. The stupid people breed faster…. we’re doomed!
>> my pooer’s dad says:
>> How do I get a job as a professional disrupter? Does it include health benefits?
Unfortunately, no.
That’s why all the anti healthcare protesters are on government healthcare already.
#333—-It also helped that he was not raised wealthy like so many politicians have been. Those who are well off truly grow up on a different planet than the rest of us.
see if this works:
348 nope
I must be missing an html tag
We have a group here in Portland called “Mad as Hell Doctors.”
They don’t just want “option” — they want single payer.

344 lolololol
336. that one should go to the Thom Hartmann liveblog. Ha ha. That ain’t scootin’ tho.
344 heh heh ‘dog person’
This whole fiasco needs to be titled, Wilson’s Homer Simpson Moment.
349 — I think the LB doesn’t allow graphics to be posted.
352 never been to the Thom Hartmann’s liveblog, I’ll hafta czech
it out…
That’s a different mix.
Wow, this Recovery site is rather interesting:

352 — Yer right. there’s a really disgusting commercial for a carpet cleaner (I think) running hereabouts that does feature some very graphic scooting.
yuck.
I’m gonna go. Have a great day all. It’s so nice to have a guy in charge who sees things the way we do.
An idiot TENTHER!
#308–I made an earlier post about this. Wilson was one of seven legistators who voted AGAINST moving the flag from the State House to the Confederate memorial also on the State House grounds.
Wilson is also the recipient of a buttload of Health Industry money.
http://rawstory.com/08/news/2009/09/10/obama-speech-disrupter-a-health-industry-darling/
356. It’s emoticon-city, among other things. And it’s free
ah bye caller
Freeper Alert!!!
OMG!!! Can someone please explain the difference between Federal and State Law to the caller… Not to mention they control any inter-state commerce…
Bye spiffy!
He’s wrong. It can regulate interstate commerce.
Then he should give up his social security and medicare if he’s so against the govmt.
Yep, caller was a Tenth-er.
On the NPR after speech show, some GOPer was saying how the government can’t do anything right and cited the DMV and the Post Office as dismal failures.
Not in my book! I’ve used DMB in Oregon, Washington and California (about 10 years ago.)
IT WAS A HELL OF A LOT BETTER RUN THAN A HEALTHCARE COMPANY!
For starters, when I filled out the forms and gave them my money, they then didn’t arbitrarily deny my license!
And the Post Office? Always shorter lines than my local KMart! Best yet, I mostly never need to go in. A post office guy will come to my house and pick-up a $0.44 item. That’s fantastic!
That’s not true. There has been many amendments stating what the Federal Govt. has control over.
It’s isn’t easy being orange..
The fake Repub plan was thrown. The four pages just didn’t make much noise when it hit the table.
355 thanks for the info Maddy

I think we should start calling ourselves “Truth-ers”… since apparently we’re the only group actually concerned with it and all…
>> my pooer’s dad says:
>> He’s wrong. It can regulate interstate commerce.
Yeah, it’s called the commerce clause! Those of use who went to school before Reagan de-funded education learned about it in 9th grade.
371: good rebuttal.
376 — there’s already a “truther” movement — thems’ the ones that believe the Bush Admin was behind 9/11
The Republicans want to kick the can down the field with their golf shoes on until they can score a hat-trick at the three-point line.
Two quick questions gefore the show ends:
Who was the single goofball who shouted at the president?
What where those wads of paper some of the congressmen where waving at the camera?
The Repub plan is to require everyone to have insurance, paid for at the insurance company. And insurance companies can’t refuse to insure anyone, although they can charge as much as they want to…
In other words, enrich the insurance companies some more.
I’d like to know what 85% she’s talking about… I work in the industry and I’ve never heard anyone say “I am so greatful for my wonderful healthcare plan…” ever. at all.
Lunch with Palin and Rove would be more effective than ipecac.
379… damn!… got any other ideas?
the rethugs live in a different world than the rest of us.
It has no connection with the reality everyone else lives
in, but it’s damned amusing. Much funnier than the world
we live in.
Wouldn’t it be GREAT to win a lunch with Karl Rove at the very hour he gets cuffed and perp-walked?
A dream date for us libs!
Great show!
See ya’lls tomorree!
Bye all! Have a great one!
bye all.
as always, hope you all have a great afternoon,
look forward to seeing you again soon. I’ll be
out tomorrow, but I’ll be thinking of you. Have
a great weekend too
387 — I like calling us the “fact based community.”
Most of the people in this country, who have insurance,
1) can’t tell you what it costs,
2) have had little or no occasion to use that insurance
3) are fearful of losing their coverage if they lose their job or get sick
Buh bye, BlogginMookenators!
Have a happy day, check out my zenful biplane photo.
Don’t you ever change a thing.
L.
I have a better idea, lets have a public option with a trigger to single payer if the insurance industry does not fall in line within 5 years
Buh Bye Bloggoes!
luvya!
Good day all! THE TIME IS NOW!
I was listening to the “Stephcast” of yesterdays show and Roland Burris described the “trigger” differently than I understand it.
He said a “trigger” was when an INDIVIDUAL CONSUMER couldn’t get health care. It would set off a trigger and allow him into government insurance.
Could that be right? Did I misunderstand him?
Here’s what we should call ourselves: “Real Americans”
