fugelsang• Comedian John Fugelsang joins us from our New York studio for all of Hour 3 today to talk about all things politics and pop culture.

• Vanquished House Speaker Newt Gingrich said yesterday that President Obama should “calm down and slow down” with his push to pass health care legislation. He also said that legislators’ canceling of town hall meetings because of death threats is “exactly wrong.”

• President Obama’s push to revamp health care got a boost yesterday as a new coalition of drug makers, unions, hospitals, and other launched a $12 million pro-overhaul ad campaign. Meanwhile, the administration sought to regain control of the health care debate by asking supporters to forward a chain email to counter criticism that’s circulating on the internet.

• Olympic gold medal swimming champion Michael Phelps was involved in a traffic accident in Baltimore last night, but was uninjured, police said. Officers say that alcohol was not believed to be a significant factor in the Phelps crash.

• Guitar wizard Les Paul, whose innovations with the electric guitar and studio technology made him one of the most important figures in recorded music, has died. He was 94.

the bar calls, siren-like

George Clooney's new gal-pal Elisabetta Canalis
Steph's younger sister?

Have a great weekend, all!

#410 Scarboring has a radio show on RW radio here. It's such a waste of air time.

Hey you bloggoe Kids! So great hanging out with you today. Have a great weekend, OK?

Buh Bye, Bloggoes!

And thus ends the fastest three hours on radio. Four days left before going back to work, and I'll probably only do a drive-by on Thursday. Where did summer go?

See you Monday!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Great show mooks, Hal and John. Be well, all!

Yet, when the actors and writers had their strike, who was really suffering. Yep, electricians, caterers, and other local businesses.

427---it's not too late to revise the Bill.

Hey all, we have wasted another hour being silly and smart. Take care and have a good weekend!

Steph's knickers in a twist, Chris's health insurance... canceled

#428---Plus that. It would add fuel to the fire.

cough on her Chris. ha ha

John's argument is not correct. I don't think getting celebrities out to fight for HC would work because celebrities are rich and off on a cloud compared to the rest of us. They can buy any policy they want. They can afford it.

You don't want Hollywood celebrities. That will just inflame the birther/deathers even more.

Too bad Dick Cheney and Karl Rove won't appear before a real Death Panel.

407 Stephie's body-stocking got holes in it...

michael vick should be placed before the eagles' death panel for an end of life sunset grilling. not during this hot weather, necessarily - maybe after the poise of summer has gone.

michal vick is on the death pannel

Hire Iraqi's for your Death Panel.

Apparently the Eagles job application doesn't have a question that asks, "Have you ever been convicted of a felony?"

#416 Yes, but the implication is that if this happened to him, it had to happen if health care reform passes.

I hope Vick gets boo'd so loud they can't even play the game. he needs to go away

was it over when the germans gassed the kurds at london bridge ?

#403, isn't Medicaid administered by the states? If so, he can blame the state board, not gov't insurance generally.

Maybe the NFL will relax its 'no brass knuckles' policy for teams playing the Easgles (and Vic).

He DOES have to serve a 4(?) game suspension before he can play.

He can easily be cut before he even takes the field and get no $ at all.

ah, yes, the eagles. - "GET OUT OF MY PEACEFUL DOG ARENA !!"

Michael Vick's playin' in The Negro Leagues? wha? The St. Louis
Browns have hired Mickey Vick? who put the dogs down? woof

msnbc needs to get rid of schrarrboorow

ProducerChris who do we write to at CNN?

404: toe socks connected as a single garment by a full-body wrap-around would look especially charming on steph.

Sara! Where ya bin? How's the surf report for Santa Cruz?

Gad Steph's lookin' so good in her Fridee er, Outfit... what
are those? multicolored thigh-high toe socks?... goes great
with the spangly tuu-tuu and the what IS that? a vest?

guess she's getting ready for Drunk's Nite Out... me too

I was listening to local radio earlier this morning, and they were talking to a person who was from a rural part of the state who was getting prescription assistance from Medicaid. The doctor wanted to change his allergy medication to something else, and Medicaid denied it. It took several more medications that didn't work over several months and two or three other drugs not working before what the doctor originally accepted was approved. This was the argument used against "government health care."

Okay, so what's different about that than the letter we received from BCBS this year that BCBS was no longer covering Lipitor?

Thanks, shāf.
Got to go.
I'll be back on schedule (work at 8 a.m.) on Monday.
Have a good weekend!

#392 I have a postcard with the 4 season in Southern California: earthquakes, riots, fires, and mudslides.

Margaret Cho once had a bit about southern redneck morons. Just like it's not the heat, it's the humidity... it's not the hate, it's the stupidity.

Peter, good point. Divide and conquer.

385----Fde---come back and see us Monday too!

395 -- Keith Richards?

386: just to play it safe, make sure you do NOT think of a snowblower.

392-Thanks, Spiffy
