• Eager to show action on the ailing economy, President Obama promised yesterday to speed federal money into hundreds of public works projects this summer, vowing that 600,000 jobs will be created or saved.

• House Dems said yesterday that their emerging health care reform legislation will include a government-run insurance option as well as plans offered by private companies. The government would require all plans to contain a minimum benefit and no applicant could be rejected for pre-existing conditions, now could they be charged a higher premium.

We got to realize that their somewhere around 40 million Americans that do not have health care. It is growing day by day because of recession we are in. It is that we are in to is causing Americans to lose their jobs then, shortly after lose their healthcare insurance. Americans are afraid, wondering what would they do if they get sick or injured? How will they pay for their hospital expense or doctor’s office visit? Will they be denied health care because of lack of funds? They would have to figure out a way to pay for it. By mortgaging their homes with a second or even third mortgages, using their IRA or retirement funds, by going into debt so far, that they will never see the light of day form. Which will then, probably lose their homes. You probably have even seen cans or jars at a 7-11 or some convenience store with a picture of the person who needs medical care, asking for help. You say to yourself, I am glad that’s not me.

The ones who have some type of health care insurance sometimes may be dropped from their health care plan because of pre-existing conditions. Look up The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act was enacted by the U.S. Congress in 1996 for more information. You can get all the information you will need off the internet. You as an adult know the truth when you hear it. But check it all out, and do not listen to one source. If you listen to High School Graduate Sean Hannity be a share to do research on what he’s saying!

318: timing is everything

I've yet to read anything stories by the "casual" abortion getting. You can find testimonies all over the place about the heartbreaking decisions Dr. Tiller's patients had to make. Not even O'Reilly can produce a woman who got a late term abortion because her boyfriend left her, or she felt fat.

We'll, we could've ended on a happier note!

Hope everyone has a great day, regarless.

Cheery bye!

Bye all! Have a good day.

Buh Bye, Bloggoes!

368: hmm... just the way bonnie and clyde ended... but at least they loved each other.

A sad note to end on...oh, well...back tomorrow (maybe). So long everybody!

They won .. ucking astards

IT'S LEGAL ,,,,

The terrorists won (dammit!)

they have to end the show with BILL-O????!!!!! gads!!!

366. while smoking...

the legacy of pickles will be the all time most desperate attempt at leeching the slipstream of dubious fame.

363---OH and another interesting fun fact: While the companies are raking in the profits the doctors are NOT getting paid what they are owed!

341----yes, it's crazy how we can keep costs down when we take the multi-million dollar profits out of the picture.

By the way, I am not advocating that anyone lose their jobs if they work for an insurance company. The worker bees are most likely not getting rich. But turn them into non-profits. The party is over.

interest rates were high during the Carter and early Reagan administrations because Johnson and Nixon did not budget for the Vietnam War. Because our debt was so high (laughably low compared to now, of course), we had to charge high interest rates to attract foreign investment. It actually succeeded in ending inflation. Reagan got the credit, but he did exactly the same thing Carter had done to accomplish it.

352 I LIKE IT!

Pickles! We miss you...NOT! :-d

352: grading on the curve happens. che guevara was considered a doctor because he was a compassionate person who was highly skilled in the use of his genuine swiss army knife.

#349 So that's what Pink Floyd was talking about on The Final Cut? "Oh Maggie what have we done..."

Keith the former Brit was attempting a small joke!

He was telling you that nothwithstanding a few
problems in the U.K. health system, *nobody*
would switch it for what we have in the U.S.!

343 -- pithy!

#348 And don't forget... Pink Elephants!

Time for an alcohol intervention! ;)

346: are you casting asparagus on mark levine?

#340 It's probably good that the Constitution doesn't guarantee healthcare. Healthcare in the 1700s? Not so great.
Just imagine a Constitution guarenteeing Life, Liberty, Leeches, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

337---drug research can exist seperate and apart from drug profits. Gee, it could even be moved to the universities.

337 what a concept! A LOBBY FOR TRUTH!
one each for goodness and beauty and love too.
wait wait beer and boobs lobby !

it has problems in the UK because of MAGGIE

they NEED great health care at disney. i've seen rats there 7 feet tall.

336---thank you! The world doesn't owe me a living either so I'm headed to grad school.

But that's not true for the insurers.

the census was always run by the federal government. I haven't seen any evidence of an enemies list.

338 -- WAP would obviously be a spinoff

asdajalus njkusjesodkjtjal; EDWFEYYUJ!@@##@!!!

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

332---Truly, because so many of these health insurance companies are run by Republicans, I truly fear that partnering with them so those poor babies will not lose their profits will only result in ruin for the economy over all.

Remember the lessons of Jimmy Carter. Wall St. ruined him with inflation which had to be held under control with 17% interest rates.

Everything old is new again Democrats. Don't partner with scum who only desperately want the White House back in 2012 and will do anything to get it.

health care provided by insurance companies has an inflation several times that of the inflation in the economy. But health care provided by medicare only inflates at 1.5 times the economy. "That's still too high," Howard Dean said last night, "But it's much closer to the goal."

greed heads suck up health care dollars.
congresscritter the other day mentioned
how a dollar spent on health care should
go to the dr or nurse, not administrator
or ceo, and insurance co people get paid
to deny claims...

we're in agreement on most of this but I
still don't see where it was in the Constitution
that you got free medicine. It doesn't matter
cause I do think we should have it free now,
on the European model. I just hope they don't
screw it up by letting the greed heads write the
law like congress loves to do lately

bet nobody knew obama had done these sneaky things, amazingly avoiding having them reported in newspapers and tv and radio coverage:
yesterday, mark levine reported that obama had:
1) transferred the census bureau to federal government control.
2) made an enemies list. (that explains the treatment of mccain.)

#334 I thought she was going to be a recurring character on Fox's new sitcom "Oh, That Dick!!!"

#332 We know that, but the average American believes what the industry tells them. You know, malpractice insurance costs are up because of frivolous lawsuits, they need all the money to do drug research, blah blah.
The insurance industry has better lobbyists than the truth does.

when I was laid off for two years, no one hesitated to tell me the world didn't owe me a living.

The world doesn't owe a living to insurance companies or insurance company employees. If they can't compete and provide a good coverage plan, they deserve to die.

320---yup. Why is it that in this country individuals can go to jail for ripping people off, but whole corporations cannot?

This is why Americans are so angry. We are sick of playing by the rules while those at the top or with connections just do whatever the hell they want and get away with it.

That would include members of Congress.

That's a GREAT name for a show -- "Who Asked Pickles?"
