Oh I see I'm too late. Bye all. Thanks

Great picture. I see I cn go to all the rest from there. Thanks.
Just to put in my 2 cents. I used to like it better when politicians had a code of conduct - the one where they all agreed not to talk about each other's 'affairs' in public. But the Republicans in their infinite wisdom, took that one down with Bill Clinton. Even Elizabeth Edwards gave final approval for her husband's conduct. Strange but true.

chris please post when asshat madhole is on tomorrow so I can avoid that time period

ron -

a pol having an affair is stupid, selfish and painful for his/her spouse and I do think less of them

a pol having an affair while spouse is fighting a potentially terminal disease is stupid, painful, selfish and evil and deserves wrath

Well, Cindy, take care.

Bye eMooks!

Cindy,

Was Obama less "showboaty" or just better at the PR?

I'm not cynical about Obama but I never forget that he's a politician. He clearly made his wife and kids central to his campaign.

In some ways, more than Edwards. I don't know anything about the Edward's kids. One died, I think,

thanks Ron .. I love that picture too

Ron - friends, sure

I will turn on Obama only if he has an affair and Michelle is fighting a terminal disease

Cindy,

I think I said this before -- but that is a FANTASTIC picture of Islamabad. You perfectly caught the feel of Pakistan.

ron - demostrated less showboating

big difference

Cindy,

Fair enough. I concede that point. I still blame the system!

Obama plays up the good husband and dad thing,to

But I won't turn on him if we learn otherwise.

Are we still friends despite this disagreement?

Ron

Ron - you see Obama didn't have to trot out his relationship with his wife ... it was clearly demonstrated - he didn't need to hightlight it or call it out

Edwards did

Ellie just a second

Ron- I don't recall another Dem poll this election trotting out his wife (or husband) the way Edwards did.

Cindy, Do you have your travel photos up anywhere else? Like facebook? flickr?

>> Ron - when they make it part of the reason to vote for them than they make it public business … and he trotted out his wonderful relationship with his wife at every turn

You make a good point about that... but I blame the system that requires this of our politicians -- to have perfect marriages, be Christian, be straight, etc.

I chose not to be a part of that system. I refuse to care.

I don't care if my politicians have imperfect marriages, don't go to church or are gay.

Ellie - yes, I used to get hate email all the time

Clearly it has something to do with getting to a goal line of number of posts during the show, yes?

Ron - what they do in their private life is their business -- but HE made it public business

Ron - when they make it part of the reason to vote for them than they make it public business ... and he trotted out his wonderful relationship with his wife at every turn

have a good one!

*waves*

294---someone please 'splain sparta to Ellie. I don't remember the exact description.

By the way, Cindy, I don't mean to be too hard on your about your feelings about politicians having an affair.

I am speaking from my own sense of being a liberal.

I was raised by fundamentalists who CARED VERY MUCH what other people were doing sexually. Affairs, homosexuality, fornication, etc. etc.

When I left that, it was so liberating to me not to care anymore.

Of course I care about rape, child abuse, etc, but those other things? I don't care and that is freedom for me!

308---I agree with you. ;-)

Awww. I wanted to win. Congrats to TRabbit who has taken up the mantle of starting the live blog since capt. left.

Have a good day all.

People were threatening your life??

getting HDTV also leads to watching infomercials. And it's legal.

Ellie - I have no problem with people disagreeing with me.
I do have a problem with people threatening my life, which the right used to do .. I can't get to that profile page either

That was close, guys! Have a nice day! Dan Out!

trojanrabbit wins by a nose!!!!!!!!

I think SPARTA is a gateway drug.

>> Ron - it’s called load shedding and it’s a scheduled outage at least an hour four times a day

Oh, I know load shedding well! SOMETIMES it was predictable, often not.

There is also power grid collapse. Sometimes local, sometimes the whole city.

Are we there yet?!?!?!?!?
