blumenauer1Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) of the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming calls in at 6:30am Pacific to talk about Earth Day.

cfapJennifer Palmieri, Senior Vice President of Communications for the Center for American Progress, calls in at 7:30am Pacific to talk about Obama and the Bush torture memos.

alexander• Actor Jason Alexander joins us in studio at 8:30am Pacific to promote his production of “The Fantasticks” at U.C.L.A. and to talk about the politics of the day.

President Obama left open the possibility of criminal prosecution yesterday for former Bush administration officials who drew up the legal basis for aggressive interrogation techniques many view as torture. Obama said it will be up to Attorney General Eric Holder to decide whether or not to prosecute the former officials.

• President Obama’s national intelligence director Dennis Blair said in a memo to staff last night that Bush-era interrogation methods may have yielded important information about terrorists and may have provided a deeper understanding of Al Qaida, but he said that we do not need these techniques to keep America safe.

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner testified before Congress yesterday, defending President Obama’s bank bailout, answering questions about TARP’s transparency and Obama’s plan to encourage private investors to help banks get rid of troubled assets.

Good morning Mama, Mooks and mookettes!

  2. SueC says:

    Good Morning Capt!

  3. SueC says:

Listening to yesterday’s podcast…GO Shano! Let’s hear it for Miss CA and ‘opposite marriage’…huh???

  4. capt says:

    Shane-O ROCKS!

How cool is it to have such talented people share their art and chat on the blog!

    Morning SueC!

  5. SueC says:

It is awesome to share the bog with such talented and VERY smart people! I haven’t read the Conyers piece on huffpo…so thanks for the heads up. Conyers is great—definitely one of the smartest boys in class!

  6. SueC says:

    #6–I mean, ‘blog’, not ‘bog’…

  7. Carol in Central Mass says:

    Hi capt! Mornin’ Sue!

It is a bit of a bog, too, Sue. ;-)

  8. capt says:

    The blog bog!

    I like it!

    Good morning Carol!

  9. capt says:

Whoop’s here is a working link to the Conyers piece at huffpo:

As Report Shows Bybee’s Torture Culpability, Conyers Says: ‘We’re Coming After These Guys’

(if I did it right this time)

  10. Carol in Central Mass says:

Rep Conyers is back after his “scandel”. I’m sure the righties were after him, big time. Something about an apartment, and taxes, I forget.
No little boys, no toilet stalls. Not even any diapers involved.
“We’re coming after these guys”. He is awesome.

  11. capt says:

It sure seems like Obama is listening.

    I think I like that. Of course I hate it when I don’t agree but . . .

  12. capt says:

Conyers is one of the good guys – I have almost always agreed with his point of view on things.

Russ Feingold has been on point too.

There are a few politicians that I don’t totally despise.

  13. Carol in Central Mass says:

capt, I think we got it figured out here at the SMS blog….Obama is taking his time to set the stage and gather political cover.

Wonder if Cheney/Rove/etc hear the drum beat.
Wonder how the arrests will go down.
Wouldn’t it be great if they are caught on camera?
    Best TV EVER!!

  14. SueC says:

    Hi Carol:-)
    Welcome to the morning bog…

  15. Carol in Central Mass says:

    ;-)

We all look better with a little mist around.

  16. capt says:

I look best if you close your eyes and picture George Clooney!

    Here – try it.

  17. Carol in Central Mass says:

    Here’s an Ohio helper –
    refusing the stimulus money

    http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/dayton-news/90323.html?cxntnid=dlh-042209

“I’ll let Warren County go broke before taking any of Obama’s filthy money,” Commissioner Mike Kilburn said.

  18. capt says:

    #19,

Some of these politicians will play “chicken” with the economy – I hope the economy doesn’t hurt them worse than it already has.

    UGH!

  19. capt says:

Rick Warren’s Wiki paged locked to prevent whitewash re: Prop 8

    [snip]

Wev Wiki’s whitewashing wesulted in warranted wecourse.

HA HA HA! or just HA HA! He can’t pretend to change his story or history! The Rev. Homophobe has been outed!

  20. SueC says:

These politicians who say they don’t want the stimulus $$ are a bunch of maroons—they’re just blustering for the cameras. Look at the gov of my state—Perry of TX–talking about seceding from the union at one of the teabaggers parties. What a maroon (it bears repeating)!

  21. DeLiRon says:

Good morning All! Buenos Dias Todos!

  22. SueC says:

Capt–you made me laugh out loud! I think Obama made an error by having Wev Warren at the inauguration—I believe in reaching out, but pleeez!

  23. Carol in Central Mass says:

    Hi DeLiRon!

  24. SueC says:

#14–I totally agree about Obama taking his time to get it right.
    Cheney is so irrelevant now…

  25. capt says:

Seriously, my sister works at Saddleback Church and even she thought it was not the best idea. She is a conservative and a GOPher but she says she has been completely fed up with the Rev. saying “it’s Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve” (Warrens favorite line about marriage)

My sis is a psychologist and has a few clients who live the issue and I think she “gets it”.

  26. SueC says:

#23 Yes, Sean Penn is Awesome. Hot and smart–what a combo! teehee

  27. capt says:

    Sean Penn?

We watched MILK a few days ago and thought the Academy Award was right on!

He earned it – great acting. I was impressed.

  28. capt says:

    Good morning DeLiRon!!!!

(lookin’ good!) How do you do it?

  29. capt says:

Oh yeah, and I like Sean’s political activism too!

  30. SueC says:

Gotta go to work. You are all the smartest kids in class:-)

  31. capt says:

    SueC has to go? :(

We’ll miss ya – hurry back as soon as you are able.

Thanks for a great start to my day.

  32. Carol in Central Mass says:

Maybe the Obama invitation to Rick Warren is when the anti-gay marriage crowd jumped the shark.

MILK was awesome. One of few movies I have seen lately and I watched it right on my computer. (having rented it through iTunes.)

  33. Carol in Central Mass says:

Thanks for stopping in Sue…hope to read ya tomorrow!

  34. capt says:

Milk was good on so many fronts – not just Sean but the writing and acting across the board. We did PPV – it was worth every penny.

  35. Carol in Central Mass says:

  39. Carol in Central Mass says:

    #40 – lol!

  40. Carol in Central Mass says:

I’m hoping Ron Howard is siphoning catholic bigot Wm. Donahue’s audience.
I’m looking for more jump-the-shark for the haters.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/21/ron-howard-attacked-by-wi_n_189663.html

Maybe, now that Ron and Steph have debating donahue in common, Ron will come on the show….?

  41. capt says:

    #41,

Windsurfing with a naked woman is the only way but shouldn’t she be in front? (or what is the use?) Unless she is sporting a strap-on?

    *skates*

  42. Carol in Central Mass says:

I almost missed this! So much is happening! It’s a new day!

  50. When Righ wing tools argue against Global Climate change, i like to use this quote:

“Even if there’s just a one percent
chance of the unimaginable coming due,
act as if it is a certainty.
It’s not about analysis, it’s about our response.
    Justified or not,
    fact-based or not,
    our response is what matters.”

Happy Earth Day, all. I wrote a little piece on how to make green by going green. If you’re interested, check out my blog.

    Making Green by Going Green

It is a cloudy, dreary, gray Earth day here in DC. But we had a brief flash of sunshine. It kind of sounds like the situation we’re in economically and environmentally.

By the way, folks, did you realize you can compost a lot of your food waste and thus reduce the amount of waste you generate? Think about all the coffee grounds, banana peels, watermelon rinds, orange peels, apple cores, and other things you toss in the garbage. Compost it instead!

  55. Richard in DC says:

Mornin’ All. Happy Earth Day!! Rode my bike to work in the rain. Yay Me!!!!!

  57. Liberal Hussein Smurf says:

I can see President Romney at the Summit of the Americas. Hugo Chavez would have mussed Romney’s hair, and Romney would have responded by carpet bombing Venezuela.

  58. Dan The Man says:

    Good Morning ALL!

Just love Jim doing Mittens! I was afraid I’d never hear it again!

    Helping you get to SPARTA!

  59. flombaye says:

    herr jim gott mittuns!

  60. capt says:

Sunshine and clear skies here in Albuquerque. Spring is here!!

A beautiful earth day here – low of about 50f overnight highs near 80f by late afternoon.

    Compost! YES! AND recycle.

Our city is changing our trash cans – making them smaller and promoting recycling to make up the difference.

  61. Liberal Hussein Smurf says:

There’s only one way to get the truth from Bush administration officials. Torture. Since it’s both legal and effective, according to them, we’ll get to the truth in no time.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wavy_Gravy

  63. Cindy in Boston says:

    good morning

  64. Tony says:

we have got to get off this fixation on torture. there are bigger fish to fry! Especially given the typical American, who thinks torture works and that life is 24.

It’s a losing proposition politically and it is not going to get a single American a job or get one American health insurance!

Remember how the moveon.org guys started? Censure and move on? That’s what we need to do with torture. We need to get over it!

I swear, torture, if we keep up our obsession over it, is going to be the progressive version of Monica Lewinsky.

  65. trojanrabbit says:

    Gooood morning all.

One of those days at work this week.

Not enough blogging makes the Rabbit very unhappy. :(

    10-4 good buddy.

  66. capt says:

I wonder if it would take 183 waterboardings to get to the truth from Bush and Cheney?

  67. Richard in DC says:

Still can’t figure out where our usual, beautiful “DC Spring” went this year. And who replaced it with this cold, clammy “Boston Spring” that we got instead.

  68. trojanrabbit says:

    71
I honestly don’t think Cheney would survive the first. His “heart” would short out.

  69. capt says:

    #73,

I bet a youtube of THAT would go viral! (in a heartbeat!)

  70. Richard in DC says:

#71. Those wussies??? They’d start singing as soon as they SAW the waterboard.

  71. capt says:

Rahm is just COS not the boss.

OMG the tooly boys are a little worried about WHAT?

  72. trojanrabbit says:

    72
    Boston spring?

I’ll have you know it’s supposed to be in the 80′s this weekend.

  73. Richard in DC says:

#78 Same here. See? We’re getting the same weather. I lived in Beantown for 17 years so I know what spring there usually entails; gray, rainy, muddy, cold until one day BANG!!! it’s 90 degrees. Then it’s summer.

  74. trojanrabbit says:

    69

    Sorry.

If we don’t nail them now, they WILL come back to haunt us later.

Who do you think Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the rest got their start under?

  75. Cindy in Boston says:

But you know what, those little bad apples will live among us. Often torture is done by sadists, and it seems when you read how many times torture was done, sadists were in charge.

Sadism is not something that is put away in a drawer once the torture stops state sponsored torture. The fact that these little guys/gals will be living among us is scary.

  76. trojanrabbit says:

    Spring has sprung
    The grass is ris
I wonder where the flowers is?

  77. Tony says:

Cheney and Rumsfeld will likely be dead in a second Obama administration, if he gets one!

What is too difficult to understand about torture prosecutions being a losing proposition politically?

You get one of those jokers up there saying, we did it to keep America safe and I guarantee you one person on a jury will get images of 24 in his head and vote to acquit.

    What good will that do?

  78. Frank says:

Let’s not underestimate Obama. There’s no confusion about the torture people or disorganization here.

Obama just re-established the authority of the Attorney General and the Justice Department as an independent, non-political body that isn’t answerable to the president, while maintaining his own ability to say he’s looking forward and not looking back.

Rahm’s comments started the process of re-establishing the independence of the Justice Department, and Obama’s comments closed the circle. Now Holder can prosecute the miscreants, and Obama can still claim to be looking forward.

Have we not learned the lesson the campaign that this guy is three chess moves ahead of the opposition?

  79. Rocky Mountain High, Colorado says:

69, there is no more important issue than punishing torturers.

  80. capt says:

It would be WAY too easy for OLC lawyers to just write this or that and say everything is all legal – that would allow any president to do vitually anything to anybody – just get the OLC to say it is okay?

We have to address that issue and the very minimum or open the door to future abuses.

    IMO

  81. Frank says:

Oh, and I give it 24 hours before Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity turn the suicide of the acting head of Freddie Mac into this administration’s Vince Foster. You heard it here first.

  82. David says:

Lets not forget that yesterday the NY Times ran an article which detailed some transcripts of illegal wiretaps of Democratic Congressional leaders.
In interviews on NPR yesterday there was some discussion about the content of the leaks, but the question was asked over and over again about how exactly an illegal wiretap happened to a congressioanl leader (a couple of years ago).
This is huge and yet another wheel coming off the right wing wagon.

  83. Liberal Hussein Smurf says:

The people who ordered the torture need to go to prison. Waterboarding is bad enough. But forcing detainees to watch episodes of Steph’s late night talk show is inhuman.

  84. capt says:

    #84,

I have a bunch of good faith in Barack and his political skills.

He is doing all of this in the middle of a financial meltdown and all of the other things?

So far – I’d say he is doing better than I had hoped or could have expected.

    Gobama!

  85. Good morning, fine folk. Sorry I’m late, what’s been happening?

I see the Freddie Mac CEO has apparently commited suicide..

And I see Mr. Cheney has been involved in some more heavy Preemptive CYA; meanwhile I’m starting to see that Obama is smart like a fox – he’s wisely recognizing that the Justice Department will be responsible for going after the torture crimes.

Unlike some, I don’t believe that our “obsession with torture” will turn into something equivalent to a progressive Monica Lewinsky incident. That’s simply a ludicrous comparison. Torture is a WAR CRIME, it must be owned up to and dealt with if this country is to reclaim the high moral ground.

As I said, Cheney has been laying Preemptive CYA. The miserable bastard may end up having to move to Dubai before it’s all over.

  86. Rocky Mountain High, Colorado says:

Cow flatulence is a major cause of global warming. Because it comes from cows doesn’t make it natural or OK. Its a problem because humans have bred so many cows. Unfortunately, I can’t give up cheese.

  88. Liberal Hussein Smurf says:

Oh, and I give it 24 hours before Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity turn the suicide of the acting head of Freddie Mac into this administration’s Vince Foster. You heard it here first.

    ———————————————————————
With Hillary Clinton driving the get away car this time. I think Bill Clinton was behind the wheel the last time.

  89. Liberal Hussein Smurf says:

Lets move forward. Forward to when Steph gets drunk and leaves Max tied to a tree somewhere during the wag-n-walk.

  90. Rocky Mountain High, Colorado says:

We should allow torture because there are a few morons who think 24 is real? We should make policy because of a TV show that was created to promote torture? I’m sure there are some morons who think Star Trek is real, does that mean we should try to attack the Klingons?

  91. Cow flatulence does have CO2, but is mostly methane.. Methane IS a powerful greenhouse gas; in fact one of the hazards of global warming is ocean warming, which may release massive amounts of it from the frozen deposits on the ocean floor; sort of a regenerative effect.

  92. Richard in DC says:

#92 I’m really surprised Cheney isn’t in Dubai ALREADY!!! And that GDub isn’t in Central America somewhere.

  93. 97…that’s the way the repuglican mind works…remember Danny Quayle wanted to debate Murphy Brown…

  94. Cindy in Boston says:

wow .. green960 is doing a better job tracking the show than producer_chris :-) http://twitter.com/green960

  95. Even if the torture investigations yield NO convictions, it must proceed, we cannot ignore crime because it might not get a conviction.

After all, this IS the United States, no matter how low it was dragged by the Bush Administration’s pack of liars and thieves.

  96. trojanrabbit says:

The vigorous prosecution of those involved in torture needs to be done because it’s the RIGHT thing to do, whether or not it’s politically expedient.

And (83) yeah, Cheney and Rumsfeld may not be long for this world, but there are surely Darth Vaders in waiting, having graduated from the likes of Liberty “University” and are now poisoning the legal system. The cancer needs to be surgically removed now, before it’s too late.

  97. flombaye says:

so…. based on cheney’s allegation that waterboarding works as a method of sourcing info, is cheney trying to instigate waterboarding of cheney and perle to launch an actual investigation of 9-11? – - – or do we just wait around for the full nine months? – what an odd shift in position from shooting the guy who said they had perhaps been too sloppy….
    what a weird anniversary….

  98. Andrew Sullivan! Thank you, sir.

  99. capt says:

    #98,

    RE: Cow farts

We have to remember that cows are converting organically. So the greenhouse gasses are being converted from grass that stored it THIS season.

Coal, oil and natural gas is converting inorganically stored greenhouse gasses from many years ago.

Kinda like comparing apples to rocks.

  100. Tony says:

There is no more important issue than prosecuting those who tortured? Are you serious?

Tell that to the 600K plus people who lost their jobs last week. Ask them if they think that prosecutions for torture are the most important thing. Tell that to those who are about to lose their houses after they lost their jobs. Tell that to those who are going to lose their health insurance because they can’t find work.

Ask them what they think about torture.

You have got to be kidding me.

    This is our Monica Lewinsky.

  101. flombaye says:

106: isaac newton said they feel about the same after a while.

  102. capt says:

    I’ll make a rash prediction:

Near the end of Obama’s second term we will STILL be cleaning up after the Busheney debacle.

    (not a high risk prediction)

  103. Tell me I’m definitely wrong in believing that Cheney would delight in another 9/11 type attack on our country, simply to vindicate him (in his mind). Tell me I’m wrong.

I believe there is a special corner of Hell reserved for Cheney and many of his compadres from the Bush Administration and the corruption of the Congress which supported them.

  104. Juliet Hussein Bravo says:

Good buddy, everymorning! Last week we discussed on the blog, and Jim mentioned, McCain’s statement that his torture by the NVA resulted in his disclosing the defensive line-up of the Green Bay Packers–i.e. torture yields bad, faked information.

Here’s a link I found to some actual….what’s the word…journalism on that story:

    http://thebusmansholiday.blogspot.com/2008/07/john-mccain-steelers-defensive-line.html

  105. capt says:

    #108,

Speaking of the Lucasian Prof. – good wishes and positive vibes go out to Stephan Hawking.

I hope he is still around when CERN finds the GOD particle.

  106. Tony says:

As James Carville said, it’s the economy, stupid. If the economy wasn’t in the crapper, Obama isn’t President. Forget that, and you condemn him to being the next Jimmy Carter.

  107. Tony, with all due respect: BULLSHIT.

The loss of jobs last week and next week will not be affected by ignoring war crimes of the Bush Administration.

  108. capt says:

    Tell me I’m wrong.

You’re Wrong! (not because I think you’re wrong but you said “tell me”)

I try to do as I’m told. (you’re not wrong – not one bit)

  109. #107

I think most of those people would say, torture isn’t the kind of behavior that parents want to pass on to their kids.

It’d be nice if we all had a job, but the world needs to put aright… torture must be addressed properly so that people can resume trying to get work and raise their children in a world that makes sense.

  110. trojanrabbit says:

    110

There IS a special corner of Hell that Cheney resides over.

    It’s called Halliburton.

There’s another one called Black…oops Xe.

  111. Juliet Hussein Bravo says:

    Funny!

  112. Cindy in Boston says:

see this is why conservatives and republicans cannot be part of investigating Bush administration …. they have a problem with JUSTICE

  113. Dan The Man says:

    Airhead neocon caller has NUTHIN!!!!!!

  114. Rocky Mountain High, Colorado says:

107, liberty is far more important than employment or health care. Prosecution of those who tortured and imprisoned people without trials will help restore the liberty the Constitution was intended to create. If we allow war criminals like this to go free, then we are one of the bad countries. That would make us evil.

  115. capt says:

Humanity is suppose to be humane.

Torture is inhumane so it is contrary to civil existence.

Job and the economy are a different cup of tea. (made from different teabags?)

  116. And Tony, what’s wrong with Jimmy Carter> He was a poor President due to weak leadership, however, unlike the bulk of the corrupt Republican thugs who have been running this country, Carter is a FINE human being. Carter has SOME integrity left. I have difficulty identifying fine human beings left in the Republican Party and particularly the Bush Administration.

Ignoring corruption and crime in the Bush Administration is not just stupid, it is legally and morally WRONG.

  117. Liberal Hussein Smurf says:

Not this crap again. Even if torture worked 100% of the time, it doesn’t matter. It’s torture! It’s wrong!

  118. trojanrabbit says:

Justice Dept can handle the prosecutions. We don’t need them as much to fix the economy.

Or are you saying the government can’t multitask?

  119. Cindy in Boston says:

my thursday bad mood has been transplanted to today ….

  120. Rocky Mountain High, Colorado says:

106, that would be true if they were outputing CO2. The problem is the methane. Methane is a much worse greenhouse gas than CO2.

  121. trojanrabbit says:

    127

    :(

Besides, I had the bad mood first. ;)

Still the methane is made from this seasons grasses?

That is the point – cows are converting organically.

When we dig up oil or coal we are releasing gasses from hydrocarbons which were trapped thousands of years ago thereby introducing greenhouse gasses not part of the organic cycle.

    Apples versus rock.

  131. Cindy in Boston says:

Montel Williams replaced Lionel by air america April 6. Clear Channel hasn’t dropped progressive talk programs in Detroit like they did April 3 on WINZ 940 Miami and Red Zebra (bought station from Clear Channel as part of deal to get stronger signal stations in short term for Redskins football games) did in Wash DC Feb 9. Red Zebra started by Redskins owner Dan Snyder because no DC area radio station would meet his rights fee demands when 106.7FM WJFK contract ran out after the 2005 season. 2006 any night games were essentially off radio because of bad signals. I haven’t stopped wishing a bad season on the Redskins yet like a 10 win 6 loss record but not making the playoffs. That hurts more than a 4 win 12 loss record.

It has to be exactly in the right position, or things won’t work.

I’m STILL waiting for my test subject and I know how screwed up the rest of the week is going to be now, this throws the schedule all out of whack.

  150. Rocky Mountain High, Colorado says:

138, if the grasses just burned and produced CO2 that would be recaptured by next year’s grass and that would be fine, but next year’s grass won’t recapture methane. Also, there is already a lot of CO2 in the atmosphere so the wavelength that CO2 blocks is already mostly blocked, more CO2 can only do so much damage, but there is not that much methane. Methane can do much more damage because there is more damage to be done at that wavelength.

I’ve got to go. I’ve got a meeting at 9 and I have to get a shower.

  151. capt says:

you could donate to Planned Parenthood in her name

I did that in Palin’s name.

  157. mel7190 says:

155 I don’t blame you at all. I’ve seen lots of requests of donations to charities – usually one having to do with the cause of death, but never a request for funds for a church. It seems inappropriate.

marshmallows are a sugar treat named for an ancient treat from Egypt that was made from marsh mallows(a plant) – the mallow plant is endangered and no rare. Our marshmallows were/are much like the anciet marsh mallow treat.

  159. #138, the problem with methane is that it’s a far stronger greenhouse gas than CO2; similarly, it has to break down abiotically, whereas CO2 from organic sources is sequestered again by those same biotic processes in steady state.

  160. Cindy in Boston says:

so torture interrogators are like people at a one armed bandits.

torture makes for great entertainment. countless horror films are based upon the Inquisition, let alone the Saw and Hostel films!

Roman period films/ tv shows depict the practice (such as HBO series “Rome”).

there’s also that show called “24″

that said, when done in real life it loses its Hollywood glamour and reveals the ugly human nature behind it.

#187 not true – everyone breaks under waterboarding, even SERE students who know they won’t be killed.

I’m pretty sure cutting off limbs (starting with fingers and toes) also works – should we do that?

    Make no sense to me.

  199. Carol Logie says:

I am SO sick of hearing conservatives hide behind the argumet that lawyers “authorized” torture. It doesn’t matter that ideologue lawyers said it was okay to waterboard. We still hold people accountable for war crimes, even if a lawyer said it was okay. Look, the Nazis had lawyers…. lawyers who made the laws that seized property and jobs of jewish populations…. the point is, when you allow evil people to hide behind lawyers, it’s a short hop from torure to concentration camps. It’s that simple. And all civilized societies have agreed that no one can hide behind a lawyer to perpetrate war crimes.

I went totally “rock star geek” and all I ended up with was a picture of the stinkin’ floor!! Also got to take them up to the House chamber and listen to a couple of resolutions. Only about a dozen representatives there, but provided me with another great geek out moment for my kids to remember me by! Next step? Get these kids to start listening to you, so they can become informed & productive citizens too! Many thanks!!! Love you guys–Plunk

    1) It makes a Democrat look bat BUT

    2) It also proves that the NSA was spying on Democratic leadership.

    mel7190,

Well, I’m glad you see an independent streak in the GOP. As for me, I was searching long and hard for conservative voices when Bush was doing all his major damage. I just did not hear very many.

As for speaking out against Palin — that doesn’t impress me much. Some of it was petty jealousy of her line-jumping to the top of the GOP.

    k to the g,

As a woman ten minutes ahead of her time, I would have expected Steph to spend more time on the Harman “scandal.”

Even though I think it stinks, it’s actually pretty interesting and I think the Right Wing media are going to try very hard to frame the debate as a Democrat-corruption scandal rather than a NSA spying scandal.

    416. I think it will be brought up again, but maybe not because it could be a wash for both parties, politically.
