0470372303• CNN’s Jack Cafferty calls in at 6:30am Pacific to discuss his new book, “Now or Never: Getting Down to the Business of Saving Our American Dream.”

Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) calls in at 7:06am Pacific to talk about the economy, AIG, Obama’s budget, and the banking industry’s accountability to the American people.

• CNN’s Chief Business Correspondent Ali Velshi calls in at 7:30am Pacific to discuss the bonuses for AIG and CNN’s special programming devoted to the economic crisis.

President Obama said yesterday he will attempt to block bonuses to executives of ailing insurance giant AIG, payments he described as an “outrage.” Sen. President Obama vowed yesterday to ease the financial plight of the nation’s small businesses, promising immediate action to revive frozen credit markets and increase liquidity throughout the entire financial system.

• Vice President Joe Biden’s 91-year-old mother Catherine Biden has been hospitalized after a fall at her Delaware home. She is said to be “receiving treatment and is in good spirits.”

From the "Bailiff, wack his pee pee" file...

Wells Fargo & Co. Chairman Richard Kovacevich criticized the U.S. for retroactively adding curbs to the Troubled Asset Relief Program, which he said forced the bank to cut its dividend, and called the administration’s plan for stress-testing banks “asinine.”

I'd say Wells Fargo deserves extra attention for that comment.

The Mortage Industry still has a lot of bad loans to work thru...

Mortgage fraud reports up 26 percent
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/03/16/mortgage-...

Excerpt:
WASHINGTON — A mortgage industry group says there were a record number of mortgage fraud incidents last year, and Rhode Island made its first appearance as the nation's top fraud hot spot.

The number of Mortgage fraud reports among loans made last year grew 26 percent from a year earlier, says a study released Monday by the Mortgage Asset Research Institute.

The increase came as banks stepped up their scrutiny of lending practices after a tidal wave of defaults.

Carol-If you get SPARTA, you will deserve it!

274 sounds like you have fun with them.
like my buddy fools his cat with the laser
pointer lololololol

or puts a sticky note on his cat's head, who
then tries to back out from under it...

Wow, are we gonna reach Sparta by the end of the show?

I'm so lazy I have a laser toy that makes the light go round and round on the wall - all three of my kitties think I'm playing with them.

They always fall for it.

274-I was trying to make a small contribution to reaching Sparta, but I think it just came off as looney.

oh thank the Goddess for tall brunette drunken
girls with nice asses, who will do you

sorry, just idly babbling here on St Paddy's day

273-Manipulating Chihuahuas can be fun. I like chasing the landlady's cat with the light from a flashlight. Large Al falls for it every time!
