XM Satellite Radio is now carrying all three hours of The Stephanie Miller Show live from 9am to Noon Eastern!!!  Now, even if your city or town doesn’t have a Steph affiliate, you can hear her wherever you go.  Be sure to check it out on America Left XM167!

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) calls in at 6:30am Pacific to talk about the economy, President Obama’s news conference last night, and how Obama is doing so far.

Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) calls in at 7:06am Pacific to talk about President Obama’s news conference last night, Obama’s economic recovery plan, and the other political news of the day.

President Obama appeared before a national audience last night to make the case for his economic recovery plan, saying this is not your “run-of-the-mill recession.” The president stressed the urgency of passing the $838 billion measure, which his administration and Dem leaders say will help pull the U.S. economy out of its current skid.

As expected, GOP Sens. Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, and Arlen Specter yesterday all voted “yes” on a procedural vote to end debate on the economic recovery plan. The total vote was 61-36 in the Senate and it now advances to a final vote on the bill today.

President Obama was on the road yesterday in Elkhart, Indiana, campaigning for swift passage of the massive recovery plan he argued would create jobs in hard hit places in the American heartland. He’s set to travel to Ft. Myers, Florida today where he is expected to be introduced at a rally by Florida’s GOP Gov. Charlie Crist.

Alex Rodriguez is now the highest-profile Major League Baseball player to confess to cheating in baseball’s steroids era. He told ESPN yesterday he used banned substances while playing with the Texas Rangers from 2001 to 2003.

Hannitys' profanitys' humanitys' insanity!! flush Rush

Good, I was going to look for it . . .

Ciao for now my friends!

See you all soon! (knock wood). I am looking forward to poking around the new SM website. :-)

Good bye and good Tuesday to you all.

Never mind capt. It's back now.

Great show! Have a great day, everyone.

good bloggin with you all
look forward to next time
have a great afternoon

So these relgious organizations spent money to stop the TrooperGate investigation...

How exactly did they "spend money" to stop an investigation? Smells like a bunch of bribes to me!

When will this be investigated by the new DoJ?

capt - you lost your avatar! wha happened?

"Truman said he never lost a night’s sleep over his decisions. Hard to believe."

All politicians have some weird ability to send people to their deaths with the swipe of a pen - then go eat lunch.

I could never be a politician - I couldn't do it, it is a hard job in that respect.

Republicans cling to their delusions and old ways like spackle or paste. We need to douse DC in evercleanse.

"OMG this caller sounds like he was lobotomized"----Must be Hannitized....

#459 There was a question about her being improperly registered in the county she claimed as a home. But, I don't believe it was pursued.

Here's the report on the Connecticut Elections Enforcement Commission investigation:

Pay us back first!

WAY too fair and simple for some folks to understand.

Bye Cindy

I Spy: loved that show.
Later I realized that Robert Culp was another
in the long line of CIA Cowboys usually named
Bob, as in Bob Crane, Colonel Hogan, the archetype
of them all... making the world safe for corporate
profits

Unfortunately, Truman said he never lost a night's sleep over his decisions. Hard to believe.

Poor dittoheads, just can't give it up.

Bye Cindy - until we meet again (soon)

457 - It worked for Michelle Bachman.

That right wing caller just admitted Stephanie had a point. Someone just got kicked out of the Republican party...

Bushy has no capacity for empathy.
Bush is incapable of putting himself in anyone else's
shoes.
Bush is a psychopath; it's the textbook definition.
The whole family has it.

OMG this caller sounds like he was lobotomized.

for the current caller re: GWB - I saw Bush at the 9/11 memorial service on the Friday after. He was grinning and waving like a fool. It really, really sucked to those who us whose friends died on 9/11.

(I won't even get into the 7 years after that...)

457-Amy, you are SO right!

OMG - the show is over in 15 minutes?

Another great day (except for those losing their homes and jobs)

I hope we can always find each other here. This is a kind of therapy for me - you all make me better day by day.

eek, the idea of having to watch Ann Coulter. Scary.

Mitt - LOL thank you

well that's it for me .. I won't be in the chat room either ...see you

Wasn't Ann involved with voter fraud in Florida?

"Coleman's attorneys are not following trial rules"
Duh, he's a Republican. Rules are for Democrats and poor people.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. When someone claims god wants them elected, that's a sign for you NOT to vote for them.

455 hee hee Even Better!

#449 -- Cindy... your mastery of IMDB is amazing... hehehe

451 yeah, Yeats. Always a good one that.
Scary as hell. He sure wasn't talking about Jesus.

any truth to the rumor I just started that
Stephanie Miller's Pediatrician was Dr. Bombay?
That explains a lot.
or was it Dr. Suess? That would explain even more.

#446,

Yeats the second coming?

417 - I'm sorry, I hope you'll be able to find some workable alternatives.

he is also One of the rare actors to have played the same part on three different series. He originated the part of Dr. Bombay (a witch doctor) on "Bewitched" (1964), repeated the role on the sequel "Tabitha" (1977) and again on "Passions" (1999).

Oh my

With the death of Alice Ghostley on September 21, 2007, he [Bernard Fox - Dr. Bombay] is the last surviving adult cast member of "Bewitched" (1964).

turning turning in the widening gyre
the falcon cannot hear the falconer
things fall apart
the center cannot hold
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.

what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

ush's stubby fat figners are probably dialing Crist's office or private line as we speak - to remind Crist that he is a Floridian and the he is the leader of the party and THEY want Obama to fail wo he should not be introducing him and acting like he wants Obama to succeed.

Limbaugh must maintain control ... he's pulling out his REPUBLICAN Board of Education to spank Crist with it
(my comment)

Hi anthro-geek. I'm glad you're back.

417-Mark, I'm so sorry. It happened to us, too.

432 - Mamma's probably sleeping, or passed out when American Dad is on.

The actor who played Dr. Bombay (Bernard Fox) was also Colonel Crittendon in Hogan's Heroes. A fine actor.
