Pleaseeee...I need podcast....wwwaaahhhh!!!

So I was at a Xmas party in San Francisco last night, talked to a woman originally from upstate NY. I suggested that she might want to check out the Stephanie Miller Show and she said "I get the Podcasts!" ***Ding***

(speaking of Podcasts - is anybody around to put them up this week?)

So, you just want to feel good about protesting, not bring about change?

No, I've been around long enough to have noticed that change doesn't happen overnight, it doesn't happen by surrendering and acting politely, and that more people will die, succeeded by a generation that doesn't share their prejudice, than will have their minds changed, so long as we refrain from ignoring the issue in hopes that politeness and niceness will triump. Reason can't reach people who have eschewed its use, so, I'm off.

If you think there is no hope, then why bother even protesting?

Because not to protest is to surrender, and we are shaming them in front of their children, who get the message, and may, perhaps, teach their parents.

Even if there is no hope, to fail to register your protestations would be to join the oppressor. All it takes for evil to triumph is for liberals and progressives to keep their mouths shut.
---

I totally agree. I just think protest need to keep the greater goal in mind. The only two really overwhelming victories in modern society were MLK and Gandi. Those who protested with them laid down their pride and lives for the greater cause.

Acts like those of Code Pink do nothing for the cause. It just makes them feel self important while the have a good time. It hurts the peace movement by hardening peoples views agaist our ideas.

If you think there is no hope, then why bother even protesting?

You think these people will come “over to our side?” LOL.

They never will, so we may as well continue to act with no less resolve nor surrender more power than they will.
---

Never say never. Minds are changed every single day. Otherwise where would be no votes for women, for African Americans. There would be no open and proud gays on TV.

If you think there is no hope, then why bother even protesting?

Adieu!

Yeah, need KTLK to get Frangela on weekends! I'm listening on iTunes today, in fact, from Minnesota.

You can download the Stepcast in iTune form. But, iTune also gets several radio stations. I don't know about KTLK.

And frakkedinmi takes the laurel!

Adios, amigos!

We just have to wait for their children, who don't see the problem their parents have with the issue.

another non-sparta

download iTunes. Works like a charm.

259. John Louise Hussein Smith Says: BTW...did you hear the story about that IT guy who had dirt on erasing Karl Rove's hard drives who died in a small plane crash over the weekend?? Talk about your conspiracy snaussage!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, I did. It got a small mention at Kos. Where is the outrage? Oh, right: IOKIYAR.
290 I tried with Firefox and Safari - and they don't make IE for Macs anymore.
284 - You think these people will come “over to our side?” LOL. I’ve become one of those “uppity” gays!
---
Yes. My goal is to turn the world into uppity gays. But, I will settle for them supporting equal rights for all.
Cyndi;
Enjoy your day!
Boy are you lucky, my demon kitty hates everyone in my home, so try as I may to spoon, he just scratches the begeebers outta my and hides under something.... ALONE.
Rick Warren Likens Gays To Pizza
"Just because I like pizza it doesn't mean I should marry it"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Huh. I have often said that pizza is a lot like sex.

When it's good, it's very good, and when it's bad, it's still pretty good. :D

Let’s reach out to the Klan. Why isn’t David Duke up there?
---

For every David Duke there is a Sen. Byrd. Racism isn't a life long condition.

We have to decide if we just want to act out to make ourselves feel better, but harden people's POVs. Or, do we want to act in a way which will bring people over to our side, but make us have to bit our tongues a bit.

Or....Farta?

Okay, I was about to leave, but we can't not reach 300 posts today!

#277 And thanks again to ProducerChris for the fresh sandbox.

No SPARTA - well with Frangela would it have been more FRATA!

Maybe on the morrow!

Ciao for now all you good folks!

Have a GREAT day!

See you guyz! Frangela, you were awesome as usual! Now just get KTLK to get rid of that rotten new interface they put on their website that doesn't work anymore. I couldn't hear any streaming this weekend from KTLK.

I got off the phone in time to say, Happy Mondee!

Good Vibes to Mama with her Republican octagenarian mother

and to my fellow bloggers!

Great show today. You are wonderful hosts, Frangela!

Have a great day, everybody!

Holy crap; I barely noticed the show flying by!

Well, love you folks! See you tomorrow. And, thanks a bunch to Producer Jim who still managed to wake up at insane o'clock so we could have a nice sandbox.
